Just a continuity question. If Selwyn was celebrating 50 years in the St Marie Police Force, what was he doing in the Met for long enough to get married and have a daughter? Or don't we ask questions. You know questions like:

This would make him around 70 or more - why hasn't he retired or been made to?
His wife looked about 50 when she came over and his daughter was in her 20s.
This would mean he did his stint in the Met when he was in his 40s and his wife was late teens or early 20s.
