I assumed the "new" officer is JP, so he and Marlon are just swapping jobs. It would be the simplest explanation of how he and Selwyn managed to convince the Jamaican commissioner with such apparent ease, since it wouldn't involve creating any new posts. However, that would leave Saint Marie a bit top heavy with sergeants as they already have Naomi - so it probably isn't so simple...
I notice Neville's ex is played by Taj Atwal, who seems to be pretty busy these days. We've just been seeing her as Kara Tointon's best mate in Too Good to be True, and last Autumn she was in Hullraisers.

I hope the girlfriend turning up isn't a prelude to Neville getting married, and going back to the UK.
I am also fascinated with the creases/wrinkles on Ralf's forehead when he makes certain expressions!
No doubt, if it was a woman, the internet would be telling her to get some Nivea!

Oh dear God. Dwayne…. such dreadful acting! Well over acting really. And Dwayne is just a lazy sod who thinks he’s the bees knees. I cannot stick him.
I do hope the return of Florence means Neville changes his mind about leaving. And if the island is such a small pool, how come the island population manage to meet and marry, Neville?

I was so hoping that snobby Hugo bloke was a partner in crime! He was vile and needs to be outed.
Neville’s travelling is purely to find a woman. It seems odd to leave the one you really love in that case. He could have delayed his flight couldn’t he?

Because it is a British Protectorate and has British Law. It would be one detective inspector for the whole area, but every island with a population would have a local team.
I'm sure they'd stay longer in reality than on the TV.
