Mrs.Owl was telling me that she had read somewhere about the actor,Connor McItyre, who plays Phelan hates him and says he must get his come uppence.I think I read he has a fine art degree taken recently, Conner, not Phelan. Once a villain gets their come-uppance the fun is over. I hope he goes on getting away with it for a long time yet.

Thought she was going back to her childhood and reliving it as Shirley Temple.

While it makes a good story I suppose I cannot believe Steve and Leanne would have slept together on the spur of the moment like that. This isn't EE for goodness sake!
What does the mysterious bald man in the background of the factory actually do? And NONE of the factory background workers got a cake! There weren't even enough in the box!

It doesn't make a good story - it makes no sense that Steve and Leanne slept together. And why would she tell Steve she was pregnant anyway, except to provide the writers with something to write about. As for Liz and the me, me, me. Doesn't she realise that she'll only end up with one grandchild to coo over anyway because when Michelle finds out that Steve got Leanne pregnant she'll leave with her baby - or she should with the character they've built up as Michelle - and their marriage will end.
It would have made sense if she'd slept with Peter when she visited him with Simon, but not Steve.

It came out of nowhere and like so much stuff these days, is done for ratings, with no attention to the characters or lifestyle.

Corrie and EE running virtually parallel storylines yet again. Corrie - Leanne late in life unexpected pregnancy with who's the dad having ramifications all round. EE - Denise late in life unexpected pregnancy with who's the dad having ramifications all round. Do they have a regular script conference to ensure story compatibility?

As a lifelong corrie fan and defender of it I'm finding it hard to stand up for this latest very tedious storyline with the Leanne/Steve baby situation. And it'll just rumble on for months and months too .... But if it gets rid of Steve, Liz and Michelle then perhaps it may be worth it ? And if I were boss at the factory I'd sack the lot of them. But loving the scripts for Sally ! A Mrs bucket in the making ?

I don't know which storyline I dislike the most at the moment there are so many.
The Steve/Leanne stuff. The dreadful Caz and Maria stuff And don't get me started on the odious Phelan. At least toxic Tracy has calmed down...for now.

I'm a long-term Corrie fan, but it does seem to have lost its way. Appears to be trying to out-Eastenders Eastenders with the toxic characters and really rather silly and unrealistic storylines like Leeanne and Steve, Caz and Maria.
