Fully apprised by The Archers and Modus, I was calling out "It's sepsis" at the TV. What a shock about Nic....poor Will...and Clarie

Yes, sepsis. Will she pull through, they caught it on time..........I think.
Overly twee sometimes but the scenes in the hospital with the Mills and Boon paperback had me LOL.

Yes, that made me laugh too. "I'll just take it to glance through", said Mrs Turner so she could be sure it was "suitable".
So glad I am having a cataract operation now instead of then. I'm told the operation will take only a few minutes, then back to the ward for tea and biscuits before coming home the same afternoon. Much better than having sandbags either side of your head to stop you moving for several days!

I bet she'd put the Mills & Boon down now though. A friend got me one for Christmas because she knows I like Saxon history, it was a bit of a joke and she said "you can highlight" all the historical accuracies - because she knows I am a nerd like that. Well I did give it a go and by crikey they were at it like rabbits all over the place, it was full of quite full on sex and the author used every none rude description of sexual parts she could think of, some of which made me chuckle and cringe. Was it historically accurate, well about as much as other historical books I have read and not as good as others. I gave it back to her saying I had highlighted the sexy bits because I knew she was a nerd like that!!

Good grief! It was bad enough when sepsis killed off Nic Grundy in The Archers! Now this.
Somehow I don't see the ghastly Timothy Stepford-Turner as a Rolling Stones fan.

WIth those clothes and that awful hairstyle the poor lad would have been a laughing stock in the 60s, especially at a Stones concert, can you imagine!?

Very sad indeed.
Dad said it's turning into All Creatures Great and Small, but with the midwife backdrop. I think he could be right.

Well, I didn't expect that. Call the Midwife hasn't had me in tears as much this series but that made up for it.
I said I wanted Timothy to break out and become a normal teenager and it looks as though he is at least trying! Maybe he has a secret stash of fashionable clothes in that musical instrument case he was carrying which he changes into out of Mum and Dad's sight. Go for it Tim!

I had a feeling she was a goner last week when they said septicaemia. Hardly anyone survived that then. It's difficult to survive now if you don't get immediate treatment.

But she did get Penicillin IM. (I think) very soon and being young..........
Premature babies, when they have an iv.line develop sepsis often, with less dangerous bacteria, and most survive(d).
But I agree, it was very sad. The inevitable, faith you can not escape.

Miriam Margolyes has signed on for a guest-starring role in Call The Midwife for this year’s Christmas special. Production on the special and the eighth season is now underway. {Christmas Special Storyline} She will play Sister Mildred, a forthright and indefatigable sister from the Order. She arrives unexpectedly at Nonnatus House, her hands full with four Chinese orphans. Having fled China, the child refugees were found abandoned in Hong Kong and are being adopted in the UK as part of the World Refugee Project.
In the 2018 Christmas special, the arrival of Mildred and refugees causes joy and chaos in equal measure.
Trixie also return to Poplar just in time to cover for the Sisters as they leave for the Mother House.
The Order’s Mother Superior has been taken ill and a new spiritual leader needs to be elected. It soon becomes clear, much to Sister Julienne’s horror, that she is the favoured candidate to take over.
