Oh god no, how I loathe that awful woman. All me me me me. Yuk. I have disliked her in the reality shows I've seen her in where I have found her an embarrassment but I have never seen her in an acting role ( not being a Harry Potter aficionado) so I am prepared to give her the benefit of the doubt in Call the Midwife. Hopefully she will be more tolerable to watch as a fictitious character than she is as herself!

Another unfan here. She comes across as rude and objectionable whenever I’ve seen her.

Me neither re Harry potter (just dont see the fascination?) but the only I thing I have seen her in apart from children’s stuff occasionally is the Blackadder program with the naughty turnips !!!! But I’m definitely not a fan of hers ..... when she started talking about her lesbian activities on that travel thing ... eek 😬

Well at least her part will be scripted unless they want her to play a completely bonkers loudmouth that happens to be a lesbian as well. Will she be a nun, a midwife or the mad child catcher of the east end!!!

Ok - I read the source material (books) long before this was filmed and the initial series were good. But once they moved on from the authors memories it became....pants.
Sort of like The Royal when it comes to sugary story lines and bland sentiment. They had 90 minutes to film and the best they could come up with was Chinese orphans, will she won't she leave (for central cast member Jenny Agatter) and the wonderful Mirium Margoyles lighting up the screen and then being assigned the royal of Mother Superior which means she will not appear again....
Pitiful - but doubtless the BBCs highest rated show.
Should have been so much better - and the whole thing could have been wrapped up in 60 minutes.
Bah! Humbug!

90 minutes to fill and that is the best they could do? We should all have been given a bottle of Merlot with a our festive Radio Times!

I quite enjoyed it. I had a bottle of Beaujolais. Sensing a bit of a theme here.

I actually enjoyed it too though I hate the overly twee scenes. Miriam M was good in this. And so was the donkey.
