I don't know if it's in the Christmas special, it may be that he's back for the series, but good lord. I was hoping he'd discover freedom in Edinburgh and never come back again. They shared a clip on line so I do think it's the special.
They have said they series will go up to the mid 70s, which is when the nuns stopped working in the community.

I finally watched the Christmas special last night and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was more like the CTM of old. I even shed a tear or two. Yes, the wretched Turner family featured prominently - including Timothy. Imagine having him alongside you as you give birth! He looks as ridiculously un-1960s as ever. There was a medical student present when my daughter was born in the late 60s and to this day I remember the long hair, the pink floral shirt and psychedelic yellow and pink tie!!! He's probably a retired eminent consultant now. Suffice to say Timothy does not look like that!  |
