I love it but vary rarely watch any other ITV. Some episodes I have watched many times and even if they are very familiar I still enjoy them. Some characters are irritating but all add to the flavour of the whole thing. Thank you again Geometryman for letting us know it is returning.

Thanks for the heads up Geometryman. I'm another who loves Doc Martin. My dad will be pleased for a new series too - he watches repeats quite often now that his Freeview box is working again.

Great start to the series, part of the joy is the wonderful scenery of "Portwenn" , especially on a cold rain filled night.

I thought this was a really good one. The series is off to a flying start.

Loved the little in-joke about Al always dating the doctor's receptionist.

Welcome back to the grumpy doc. Still as enjoyable as ever.

Another good episode. If only G.P.s in real life were as knowledgeable as this one.

It would appear TPTB have had fun choosing character names.
Anita Bush Paul Mycock Dan Gleballs Ben Twilley Drew Peacock
And last night I noticed them refer to Helen Highwater

I noticed Helen Highwater last night but I hadn’t heard the others, I shall listen carefully next week. Years ago on holiday in Cornwall we drove past a carpet shop called WALTER WALL. still makes me smile.

It would appear that the property used for filming as Aunt Ruth's house is for sale for £395,000.

We spent a holiday in Port Isaac years ago, very pretty, in the series it’s always beautiful weather but while we were there it was awful. With the popularity of Doc Marin I doubt we’d be able to afford to stay there now.
