Somehow I don't think I'll bother with this series.

I really liked the Murtaugh character, so that's a shame.

Just watched the first of the new series. Not impressed, but then I had been getting tired of the repetitive stories of the last series. Now that they’ve got over the explanation of the new character I ca see it’s going to be the same old same old. My husband seems to like it as he says you don’t have to think while you’re watching it so I’ll probably watch it while doing other things. Don’t like the beard on the new character- looks like someone has painted it on!

I shall record the late night repeat. I guessed it would go downhill!

I was wary - but 10 minutes in I'd more or less forgotten about what's-his-name. Same old madness, humour and plot formula that grabs you and draws you in if you're in the mood.
If this is the last series I'd love the team that writes it to apply their approach to the next series of Silent Witness!

I'm just watching episode 9 and it occurred to me I had barely smiled let alone laughed once. I think the trouble is down to the new chap being a charisma free zone. And I found him a bit stalkery round his ex wife too. Murtaugh is still quite amusing but he can't hold the show on his own. It is a good thing they decided to end it IMHO.

I haven't been able to watch it as ITV won't Cast it and I'm not that bothered to watch it on my PC. Don't sound like I've missed much.
