TV show based on the popular 'Lethal Weapon' films in which a slightly unhinged cop is partnered with a veteran detective trying to maintain a low stress level in his life.
I wasn't too sure about this but I have to say I really enjoyed it. Full of action and a fair bit of comedy. It's unusual to see an American drama in the prime ITV position. I will be interested to see the viewing figures

I enjoyed it as well! It was familiar cos it was pretty much the plot of the film. It will be interesting to see how the relationship between the two leads develops.

I watched my recording yesterday and was amazed to find I rather enjoyed it. In some aspects it was a bit too ITV4 for me and I did FF through bits of the chases and explosions, but I thought the two lead actors had a good rapport and some of the dialogue was very funny. I had nearly cancelled the recording but decided to give it a go, and was glad I did. Very surprising!

On February 22, 2017, Fox renewed the series for a second season. The question is, will the ratings be enough for it to be hijacked by Sky?

I expect so. That's their normal MO.

I've just started to watch this, I'm only up to episode 5 but I'm really enjoying it. It's really over the top and ridiculous, just like the film, but it's also funny and action packed. The two leads who play Riggs and Murtagh have great chemistry.
It reminds me of another show called Common Law (Warren Kole is now the FBI guy in Shades Of Blue) with 2 male lead detectives who don't get on and end up having to go to couples counselling. Again that was funny and action packed but only lasted 1 season before it was idiotically cancelled. God I looooved that show😭

I really like it still. It's very silly but the two leads play well off each other and it's expanding to include more of the team with their own scenes, which makes it more interesting.
The actor who plays Riggs was in an old episode of Cold Case yesterday. About 15 years younger but with the same hair!

Yeah, I'm enjoying it more and more. I know the man manager bloke (he used to be in Desperate Housewives) I think gets some storylines coming up, but I haven't seen much yet. The last episode I saw was where Riggs smashed up the guitar of the tourists!

Oh yeah.... they were annoying! Hehe, they were. I liked how the second time he saw the tourists, and they'd moved onto an acoustic guitar, he pretended like he was going to play it but then smashed it up. I shouldn't laugh, but they they were annoying. I do like Riggs tashe as well. I thought when he was taken to the barbershop that they were going to shave off his tashe. I'm so glad they didn't.😶

They do have a great bromance going on. If you can find Common Law check that out, they used to have it on youtube or daily motion, it's similar to Lethal Weapon, action drama with humour. That's the reason I started watching Lethal Weapon, because I missed Common Law so much!😭

There was a lot of good humour in CSI original (Las Vegas), more so the earlier series in my mind. This is one of the best things to come out of the USA since that - comedy, great pace and also good characterisations and storylines.

It's got a second season. I'm so glad because the ending was left so open that it could have just ended there and it would have been ok but we'll get to find out if Riggs gets the people responsible for his wife's death. I also like the guy in charge at the station...i don't know his name. He was in Desperate Housewives and Mad Men and currently pops up in Madam Secretary, anyway him, I hope he features more as he used to be Murtaughs partner.
