I enjoyed last nights, staggering in after my birthday drinks it was just the ticket. The returning DS/DI was a bit of a strop merchant thought wasn’t he?

I think the next two episodes will be interesting regarding the new relationship between Joe and everyone else on the team, especially Vera! I loved it when she corrected him for calling her Vera and told him it was "Ma'am" after he had put poor old Kenny down the way he did. That was a very good story I thought. I had picked the wrong minor character as the murderer. I thought it was going to be the birth mother's husband.

I knew we were losing Jack and Kenny but I didn't know about Aiden!
I didn't get the murderer either but the clues were there which is my favourite type of crime drama.

Someone told me today that they had heard this is to be the last ever series. 😪 Does anyone know about that?

I did read that BB had indicated this might be the last full series but there could be occasional shows…

I think she is happier doing three feature length episodes rather than 8 shorter episodes. She is getting on and the always shoot in the winter, it must be tiring. Three, probably means 5 weeks filming and back home.

She is 77 apparently. I think she said once they had bought their own place nearby as the filming was a few months per year. Nicer to have your own bits and bobs than a hotel!

They are filmed in real places but they change the names. Usually the web page for the show tells you where they filmed. Looked a bit like Corbridge but I can't be sure, I think the coast might have been Old Hartlepool area, she fairly zips about the county, even other forces counties too.

I thought the long shot of the place where the McSwains lived looked like Berwick on Tweed. I've only been there once but it left a very strong impression, especially the river and the bridges.
