I didn't recognise or remember the deaf hitman at all! My memory is getting so bad.

FINALLY!!!!
Season 4 of Fargo has arrived! It was supposed to premier back in April but was delayed as COVID-19 suspended filming of the final episodes for a time.
It was filmed here in Chicago over the winter into spring though its set in Kansas City.
As usual, its a fine mixture of American and British actors. Possibly the best cast so far.
*Chris Rock *Jason Schwartzman *Jessie Buckley (an Irish lass doing an AMAZING Minnesota accent that would make Frances McDormand proud) *Ben Whishaw *Jack Huston *Glynn Turman *Timothy Olyphant

Oh brilliant! I think I might need a recap though, as it's been so long. Hopefully someone will reshow them.

I don't think there is much crossover between the various series and/or the film. Maybe some anecdotal references here and there in the dialog and some of the characters are related to characters in other series etc. But other than that they seem pretty stand alone series. And this one is set the furthest back in time so would be a prequel to earlier prequels. But as you say its been so long maybe there is more crossover and I just forgot!

There's quite a lot of crossover that I remember. The stamp, the family relationship between the various police officers, the money.....

Yes yes yes. See how it all comes back??? The money is what the family from the last series used to become rich and powerful. They were broke, basically homeless, when their car broke down on the side of the road next to the spot where Steve Buscemi buried the money in the snow. Only it was summer now and the dad found the briefcase full of money. How could I forget that? Probably because it was 3 years ago! With this one being set in 1950s it will be interesting to see what forward connections it makes.

I expect that the hitman in the 2nd series, set in the 70s, will be a boy in this next series.

The hit man played by Billy Bob Thornton? The series with Tom Hanks son Colin?

No, the black hitman with the two mute brothers. Was that not the second series? The one with Ted Danson as the cop.

Gosh, I've forgotten so much of this. As you say, each series does stand alone but there is crossover between series. I may need to consult IMDB or Wiki to remind myself.
Jessie Buckley is a little star. She first came to prominence as runner up in the Andrew Lloyd Webber reality audition show to win the leading role in a new stage version of Oliver! She didn't win but has gone on to do great things in straight drama, such as War and Peace, and also a film which I haven't seen but which had good reviews, Wild Rose, in which she played a Glaswegian country singer.

S1 - Martin Freeman and the cop is Molly S2 - the crime family, the black hitman and the mute twins, the Native American servant/hitman, the mad hairdresser married to the butcher, the cop is Molly's dad who sees the UFO. S3 - Ewan McGregor and David Threlfall

It's already started over here. First two episodes have aired.
No worries, I promise no spoilers.
I will wait until it airs there for any discussion and hopefully my memory will be better than with all the quirks of the first 3 series. Lol

That was the series with the mafia subplot, the Fargo mafia family was run by a woman and the out of town gangsters who trying to elbow their way in were from Kansas City!

That's the one! The crime family had a brutal father who died at the start. I really felt for the NA guy at the end.
