I still think it's worth watching, though I will miss the occasional inclusion of Stephen Hawking and hope that Bob Newhart will still pop up sometimes. I was disappointed that, in the episode where they visited a scientist in his reclusive cabin, the scientist wasn't actually a scientist but an actor. Maybe I'm misremembering, but the extras who've appeared have always been actual and well-known scientists or actors as themselves (apart from Bob Newhart), not someone playing a scientist. Viewers last week in the US were 12.6 million and on the night it was shown it had the highest figures of all programmes. variety.com/2018/tv/news/tv-ratings-big-bang-theory-1202798736/I wonder if Peter MacNicol will be a recurring character? He’s the kind of actor they would choose. Speaking of guest appearances, Neil Gaiman’s was inspired 👏🏻👏🏻

Yes, we get it as near to the Royal wedding as poss. Sadly E4 showed a spoiler clip from it last night....but then, once it is broadcast in the US it is no longer secret.
One half of Penn and Teller plays Amy's dad, doesn't he?

Yep, Mark Hamill officiates and Kathy Bates is Amy's mum.
Apparently Stephen Hawking gets a mention.
Must stop reading American websites

The "pile of swans" dress doesn't look as bad in that picture as it did when we first saw it last week. Probably because it was a surprise then, but isn't on second viewing.

And on its own, it is not quite so bad. It was just after perfect dress after perfect dress had been tried that it came as a major shock!
And of course, Amy has a Tiara!

The finale was show on Thursday in the US, but they didn't air their tribute to Stephen Hawking. They posted it on twitter the following day. www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-44081183When I played the clip, the sound was a bit muddled at the beginning, but it sorted itself out.

....and Mark Hamill was terrific. It's hard to do comedy I think, but he was spot on.

He was! The 'unexpectedly beautiful' bit was really funny.
