That is why I also enjoy Emmerdale the most. Every character is well written and portrayed, story lines are mostly good and the spoilers are kept to a minimum so the drama can be enjoyed as it unfolds.

Well I caught up tonight and for the first time ever in a soap I bawled , amd the men in my house were shedding a few tears as well . More of an impact as it was totally unexpected . This is why it's my favourite soap . Totally agree. It was acted so well that I couldn't help but get a bit upset because it felt very real. And I had no idea this was coming, the first notice I had that something big was going to happen was the continuity announcer giving a warning before the episode started but I had no idea it was this. This is why Emmerdale deserved to win the best soap at the NTA's. I'm bored to tears by Eastenders at the moment and it all seems so forced (the Fowlers moving house last night was so forced, Jack making all this jokes about Martins hair and stuff) it doesn't in this.
Did it says that she's taken drugs? I thought she was doing so well and she was in a good place. I thought that maybe there was the tin foil but it would turn out that that was from awhile ago and she's died in her sleep, making Moria and everyone feel bad that they'd thought she was back on the drugs.

I think it was an overdose . They wanted to shock , as in real life , that someone could appear to be over their addiction , moving along nicely . Suddenly they die and no one realised they were still in the grip of their addiction . I only ever catch 5 mins of EE ad I really don't like it and don't know a lot of the characters any more . I watch Corrie , and it seemed so mundane and plodding and inane after Thursday's episode I fast forwarded a lot of it . ( I always record or catch up commercial stations to whizz through the adverts) I've seen so many positive responses to Thursday's story I hope all concerned are proud , especially Natalie Robb who was outstanding

Very very sad. Seemingly they have a funding page to send her to Germany for treatment.

I was glued to it last night. I have never seen such carnage (except for the last big stunt they did) One things for sure...Hotten car dealership will be doing a roaring trade over the next couple of weeks. Bill Ward (James) is leaving so everyone presumes it's him who dies. Emmerdale are very good at keeping secrets though.

I know the Ashley storyline is very serious... but that new guy, Will, is very welcome!

It's a very harrowing storyline with Ashley. Congratulations to all the actors concerned for doing such a great job.

There's a special episode on Tuesday which shows Ashleys condition from his point of view. Hopefully it'll be remembered when the soap awards come round. It's the best one on at the moment.

Heartbreaking tonight, poor Ashley and Laurel. It was heartbreaking. I've just finished watching it and feel like I've been put through the ringer and that was a 30min tv programme, I don't know how people cope in real life. I do hope everyone is recognised come awards time. Emmerdale just keeps getting better and better.
