Just seen some of the episode again and I think the writers have been at the Oz box sets. Aaron is so Tobias Beecher in series 1. Jason the thug is Schillinger. And the Father is Sister Peter Marie, could have been Father Ray Mukuda but Sister Peter Marie was more like the guy in Emmerdale...I may need my bed!
...I realise this makes no sense if you've not seen Oz. Go. Watch. Parental advisory and all that!

Ahhh, what are they doing with Emmerdale? I've read spoilers for this week and it's saying that Roberts going to sleep with Rebecca I do hope not. Spoilers ahead... I just have a feeling that he'll sleep with her and she'll get pregnant à la Corrie. She'll have the baby just after or as Aaron gets out of prison. I hope I'm wrong because that would mean it being a pretty dedictable storyline and also Robert and Aaron only got married a few weeks ago, even with Aaron rejecting Robert I think he'd remember the vows he said less than a month ago and also what led to the argument that led to the fight with Aaron going to prison and that's him getting friendly with Rebecca. Surely on the journey home from prison he'd calm down and realise it's the prison talking not Aaron...but no they'll have to make drama from yet another affair instead of thinking of something else. I know soaps run on drama and misery but occassionly, even if only for awhile (more than a month!), it'd be nice to see a couple happy...plus I'm an Uber RobRon fan, so I'm going to be thoroughly pi**ed off!

I do hope not Sootycat, they've come such a long way and gone through so much if only Rebbecca would get lost! She's like a limpit. Hopefully it'll be something that we thinks going to happen but then doesn't. Soaps love doing this.

Argh. It looks like they did sleep together, although it could be a red herring as you only saw them kiss and head towards the bed and then it went off so who knows if Rebecca did the decent thing and reject him as he was totally drunk and in a vulnerable place. Rob shouldn't have called her though. Of all the people, I suppose it could be a way of Robert subconsciously hurting Aaron the way he's hurt him and also of feeling close to someone, someone who he knows won't reject him (even though I hope she did) because he knows she still likes him, it's a chance for him to forget all the drama in his life at the moment. Drugged up Aaron, the appeal, Livs expulsion from school etc. But I just wish the writers wouldn't do that because I'm not sure Robert would give in so easy, not now, not after all they've been through with Katie, Gordon, the car crash. As bad as this is I don't think this is the straw the breaks Robert.
I can see Rebecca getting pregnant and pretending it's Ross' until Aaron's out of prison and then it's revealed it's Roberts. Please no!

Trouble with Robert, cheating is his default setting!

He has in the past but I really do think Aaron has changed him. He just seemed really angry at being rejected at the prison so was lashing out in the most hurtful way, which, I hope, he regrets. I do think Rob and Aaron have great chemistry where as Robert and Rebbeca don't.

This is not a happy watch this week.
Some good performances from the younger members as well.

My goodness I was in bits watching Ashley's final episode. Full marks all round for a great send off.

My goodness I was in bits watching Ashley's final episode. Full marks all round for a great send off. I agree, I was in bits too. The whole storyline has been amazingly well done. It's not felt rushed or acted over the top. It's felt very real and because of that made it's more heartbreaking to watch. I thought the scene with his friends was nice, some were the same as usual, keeping things normal, some felt a bit awkward, as you may do, so again felt real. Marlons one on one chat made me cry because it was Mark Charnock saying goodbye to a colleague as well as Marlon saying goodbye to Ashley. If they don't win soap awards for this there's no justice.

Another good episode tonight. The scene between Laurel and Ashley could've gone into Aussie soap territory but they played it just right, letting us know that it was a dream and having humour as well as pathos. I can see why Emmerdale got a Bafta nod.
