"Do they not just broadcast what is on the BBC channels? I thought the BBC was our Olympic broadcaster. At the moment I have 602 boxing, 603 dressage, 604 gym, 605 judo, 606 shooting, 607 rugby, 608 beach volleyball."
I think that's what's on Virgin at the mo. What is really frustrating is that RB8 isn't showing anything until 21.50 tonight. The tennis could be put on there.
The trouble is the BBC tries to make us watch a lot of the coverage online or on connected TVs. They assume we are either all internet savvy or rich enough to own a connected TV. It's very arrogant. I have no wish to watch live sport on either my laptop or iPod touch. The screens are too small.

Hmm ... Hadn't thought of that ... could be why some stuff isn't being shown. The tennis is on a red button tonight.
I think BBC4 will be showing some a bit later on - probably just Murray though.

It seems the rowing is cancelled due to high winds. Yesterday the Serbian boat sank

I hate watching on my PC. My friend loves watching Netflix on his iPad! How tiddly is that. I only use Iplayer if I have missed something I really wanted to see. Internet TVs puzzle me. Do they not depend on your wifi, so if you get buffering watching something on your PC doesn't that mean your internet TV is less than good? A car accident knocked out our BT sub-station last year for about 10 days affecting dozens of houses and I had no phone or wifi until they reassembled it!

Breaking news - the Russian paralympic team has been banned from the Rio Paralympics due to its doping culture. The President of the IPC didn't mince his words. He had no compunction in banning them. Pity the Olympic committee was not so brave.

I watched the highlights programme this morning, but there weren't many highlights! They showed a whole hockey match, and they also had lots of talking heads, but nothing about the cycling road race, even though Chris Froome was in it. I watched the cycling yesterday and it was eventful, with good ariel views, so it made good TV.

Yes - any BBC sports highlights programmes seem to highlight the presenters rather than the sports on offer. Absolutely ridiculous and a waste of time. Viewers have been moaning about it for ages but the dear old BBC think they know best as usual.

I turned it on for a few minutes last night. The presenter was reading out tweets. I turned back to the sport.

Dustin Brown, the German tennis player (who is a real character with beautiful tennis) has sadly retired after turning over on his ankle...Ouch.

I saw a bit of a highlights show with Clare in the Olympic Park talking to various commentators and thought she did well linking the various clips. I thought the vibe on BBC4 was very like BBC3 and I am sure they would have used that channel had it still been on air. The guy presenting from their beach studio/open air desk seemed as if he would be a social media fan (ie young ). By the way, are we without Matt Baker in Rio?

"I turned it on for a few minutes last night. The presenter was reading out tweets. I turned back to the sport." Why aren't I surprised. I really couldn't give a fig about idiots sending in tweets for idiotic presenters to read out. What a pity about Dustin Brown and even more of a pity that the BBC couldn't be arsed to show it on any of the TV channels

.......not impressed on-line......luckily I get fibreoptic broadband(up to 52 mps) and yet am still getting buffering on the Womens road race......and its not a very smooth picture when its not.......and on another point...why did they take Hazel Irvine...she ruined the Opening Ceremony with her inane comments........
