At the end of the penultimate programme from Rio, Clare Balding mentioned all the people who had been involved in bringing the coverage into our homes. She said we would see an awful lot of names on the credits who were responsible and it was an opportunity to say thank you to them.
The credits then rolled with all the names clearly visible on the screen alongside clips from the games. No squishing up the credits, just as it should be,and no one telling us what was coming up next.!
That begs the question why don't the BBC have the courtesy to do this with all programmes.
That said what a wonderful Games it was for us Brits. Fantastic performances coming from all over the place.
Congratulations and well done to all who entertained us so royally.

This will be the last Paralympics with sailing, which is a shame. World Sailing and RYA are lobbying hard for it to be included, again, from 2024, but that decision will be made in less than two years and things are not looking promising.

Just seen that RJ Mitte from Breaking Bad is going to be one of the presenters for the Paralympics

That is an impressive recruit! I saw him as a guest on The Last Leg and he seemed charming.
