Ok.... they are pretty funny. But that's not a monkey. Poetic licence?

Hmmm....no. Let's not do that. I have a lot of American friends and they are no more stupid than we are.

The Hamlet photo booth one with Gregor Fisher has to be my all time favourite by far, so funny.

I'm a sucker for a jingle, so...
Do the Shake n' Vac and put the freshness back...
They asked me how I knew it was Esso Blue...

The Coke "I'd like to teach the world to sing" ad was terrific in Its day. Really groundbreaking (as seen in the finale of Mad Men)
Who vocal forget Nick Cayman stripping down to his boxers?
Also loved the Guarduan (?) "Points of View" ad (which is partcularly apt here)
The Nimble girl in the balloon

Beth, I love a good jingle as well (except for Finger of ruddy Fudge....)
"Everyone's a Fruit and Nut Case"....
"Washing Machines Live Longer With Calgon!" (or is that still a current ad?)
Nick Cayman had a one-hit wonder record as well, if I recall correctly!

I wonder who's old enough to remember the voice of Frank Muir singing "Everyone's a fruit and nut case....".

Me too. It was only the mid 70s but I suppose that is a long time ago to some. Do you remember Terry Scott advertising Curly Wurlies dressed as a school boy "out chews everything for 3p"

I remember them being big enough to stick out both ends of my fist.

I remember them being big enough to stick out both ends of my fist. I must clean these glasses... I read that as "both ends of my vest"
