Well I thought that was very well done. I really thought a school shooting would be mismanaged by Casualty but actually I found it very involving. I haven’t been able to stand Ollie for a few weeks now, making me rather intolerant I guess given the mental health SL he was acting, but the young actor did play him well. And David, so obsessive and in denial when it comes to his son, always taking the guilt onto himself, also plays his part well even though he would get on my wick. I suppose now we are going to get everyone turning against him! Especially that Faith woman who is so smug and self righteous!!!!! I hope David doesn’t have another breakdown.
The only let down for me was the amount of air time given to the hopeless receptionist (and lousy actor) Paul! I do hope Robyn doesn’t go there! But as she has offered to be a surrogate for Marty and Adi maybe that will put Paul off.

I have finally stopped watching Casualty. I have watched from the first episode but no longer enjoy the storylines and dislike more characters than I like.

It was an improvised episode at the weekend. I didn’t think it ran any different from a scripted episode TBH so either they are all very proficient and tuned into their characters, or they had run it many, many times. I was shocked at the portrayal of the abuse directed towards the paramedics. And the woman they went to who asked them to get her a fish supper! I assume they do base these shows on NHS experiences.

Goodness me! So after losing Ethan the other week we now have three characters gone in one night, Robyn, David and Marty! Nearly four as Charlie the oldest nurse in town almost went. Poor Robyn though. I hope Jacob reverts to his normal self soon rather than this shouty boss we are seeing at the moment. And at least Dylan has been vindicated regarding the care home slasher!

Jacob resigned last night! There will be no one left soon, except for Charlie of course, 😄.

I have just caught up with Casualty. So many are leaving. But lovely to see Sacha from Holby on set. I do miss that programme.

I thought for a moment we were about to lose Faith last night! I cannot see her as a drug addict though. Mind you, grade A hypocrite now, isn’t she? Always very ready to tell people (albeit very nicely) what they should or shouldn’t do yet all the while nicking drugs and snorting them in the loos!!!!! Would you think this rape charge would get very far? There seems to be little solid evidence, unless I zoned out and missed something. She is relying on flashbacks to when she was high (having just slept with him consensually) as far as I could tell, and I can’t imagine the CPS finding that a strong enough case to pursue, given their reluctance to prosecute where there seems little chance of success.

I didn’t understand the end on Saturday… can anyone explain please?
What happened to the bomb disposal officer? Did he die?
There was a scene at the end where the nurse, Jodie?, seemed go be sitting by a patient’s bed, but at the very end she seemed remarkably cheerful for someone whose life had been saved by a rescuer who’d lost theirs…..
I hadn’t watched at all for years until the last two episodes, only person I recognise is Charlie!

No he didn’t die. He was on the ward with what looked like burns round his eyes.

The episode last week with Jodie having her drink spiked was excellently done I thought. The drunken staggering and blurred vision was very well captured. It even featured on Gogglebox. This week we were back to the usual flabby production style. Now much as I love Casualty, isn’t it funny how very uneven it is in terms of quality?

I can’t believe it! Also, I read once that… {SPOILER:Click to Show}He is the highest paid actor in the BBC. Which I find amazing but apparently it’s true. Or perhaps was. Anyway he is 75 so don’t blame him for retiring.
