I did find myself hoping that security means that it isn't possible for anyone who feels like it to climb to the top of a wind turbine in real life!

About as likely as a Chief Constable to go out investigating crimes 😄

I really enjoyed it. There again...It did have Rob Lowe in it Hooray. It does make me want to dig my West Wing box sets out. I was paraphrasing the last 10secs of this, where Josh shows his 'poker face', and Sam leaves, his boss says "where are you going?" "New Hampshire.". That became "Lincolnshire." I enjoyed this. I'll try it again next week, I'm not watching it for an accurate account of policing, I don't think it's that type of show, but it's an enjoyable drama with a mystery in each episode...I assume.

Twitter is complaining that none of the characters are speaking with a Lincolnshire accent.

That is very true and was sonething that struck me immediately. As usual in a drama set anywhere north of Watford there was a kind of generic "oop north" type of accent.

I wouldn't know a Lincolnshire accent if I heard one so that didn't bother me. And with my usual experience of actors attempting Brummie accents and failing miserably, it's most likely better as it is.

Just caught up on it, and it was enjoyable, not realistic but enjoyable. Don’t know what a Lincolnshire accent sounds like, but I’m with Miranda in cringing at the many fake Birmingham accents I hear on the tv. I’m sure you wouldn’t be able to walk up to the top of those windmills though. I will definitely give it a go next week.

Rob Lowe was interviewed on Front Row tonight. He was very suave! He seemed to have enjoyed the experience, and maybe found it a bit bonkers to be so far out of his usual environment. He said he showed episode 1 to his LA friends and they barely understood a word!

Watched the first episode as I was intrigued by the concept but felt it did not quite know what it wanted to be - a police drama, a comedy based on an outsider getting to grips with a different culture or a commentary on police funding, prejudice and Brexit. The improbability of someone accessing a wind turbine and suffering the injury that they did was but one of the elements that disappointed.

I liked the premise and the main characters, but the opening story was all over the place.

It is entertaining enough, but the credibility is streched a helleva lot.
It was of those crime series ,that belief has to be suspended, even though last night's was based on the story a few years back about a mysterious piano man found wandering in Sheerness.
How it jumps from one thing to another, till there is a doh moment by clever police, except for the baddie, some of it was lost on me.
Anyway "Doc Cottan" was not the bad guy this time, despite being arrested in a police station with press cameras present because that always happens.....
It passes the time.

I decided not to bother with this after the first episode but did catch the last few minutes when I switched on for the news. I thought that was Dot hiding behind that beard but the closing credits were too quick for me to find his name....so thanks for confirming it Geoffers.

Still enjoying this...probably for one reason.

I'm not particularly a Rob Lowe fan (he's not my type) but I thought this might be quirky enough to appeal to me. It was. Totally unbelievable, but an easy watch after a hard day. My mate's mum has a Lincoln accent and I think the copper who found the head, came closest to delivering. It didn't matter though, I enjoyed it.

I have decided to pay no attention to how silly the stories are. In fact they are beyond silly. What I enjoy is the characterisations. Especially Mildred, she's turning into a very interesting character. And they are adding depth to the ACC, which I'm glad about as she was a bit of a pantomime villain in the first one.
