He does seem desperate to leave the country. I think you may be right about the suitcases, which Kenton found heavy, being full of cash.
Everyone in Ambridge keeps going on about how awful he is. I've missed lots of the plot but is he really worse than Brian, or Justin? Is his main crime being a common upstart? Nelson Gabriel was a rogue as well but everyone loved him.

Well, a common upstart who ran off to Costa Rica with all Lillian's money. Except for the house and the Amside business of course, and no doubt her inherited wealth from Mr. Bellamy, but that meant she was SO POOR she had to live rent free at Home Farm and drain Brian's wine fridge in between shopping trips to Borchester for designer clothes etc etc.

Just listening to the omnibus after falling by the wayside for a few days. What a horrible specimen Freddie is! Where are they going with that, I wonder.
It does seem that Matt is off the scene, unfortunately. And is the wedding off? Does anyone care?

We now have the bizarre situation of Freddy and Noluthando dealing in Class A drugs treated in a comical fashion! Where are they going, indeed!

I cannot bear the scenes with Freddie, Noli and Lily. I think they are very poorly written as self-obsessed and entitled. Lily sounds like someone at a 1950s cocktail party. I am also getting fed up with Alan taking on extra curricular duties, namely writing, directing and producing the pantomime, whilst dumping his usual responsibilities, namely casting and producing the Nativity, onto Nic.
Ian also seems to have had a complete volte face on the baby front having talked about NOTHING ELSE for weeks. Every scene with Adam he just banged on and on about surrogacy, God it was boring.

I still think Alan and Harrison are the same person. Have they been seen/heard in the same room? Ah, just as I wrote that I heard a conversation between the two. Bang goes that theory!
Agree about Ian and Adam and surrogacy. I didn't think anyone could be more boring than Adam.

How funny you should mention that. During that scene I thought to myself I wonder how that actor is enjoying conversing with himself!

Yes, that was a shocker. Outgoing editor syndrome? As when Vanessa Whitburn had Nigel fall off the roof and Sean O'Connor had Helen nearly kill Rob – they usually do something dramatic. I really didn't see this coming though. Cue much wringing of hands and a lot of people saying 'If only ...'
I must remember the minibus!

I wonder if it will turn out that Nic's arm got infected by whatever she was cleaning off her trainers, and I wonder if that will turn out to be whatever Brian sanctioned being dumped all those years ago ...

I thought it was the cut from Joe's manky photo frame in the box of junk. She didn't change the dressing. I was horrified and have put a bottle of TCP on my next shopping list. I was watching Modus last night and the kidnapped US President had sepsis but luckily for her, instead of being treated in an ICU, she was looked after by a doctor called in by Inger Johanne to an abandoned factory with no visible clean surfaces. She had one bag of saline and a shot of antibiotics and got better!!!!!! Poor Nic!
And what did she confess to Joe? Who seemed to be telling her she was on her way out!!!!!!!

Yes, that's how she cut herself – I was just wondering if the two dramas would be linked. Pretty silly that a fit, healthy young woman would not seek help when she had a festering wound that wasn't showing any signs of improving. That's the public information side of The Archers that they occasionally remember, though it's usually to do with milk yields!
I thought she was just feeling guilty about her outburst at Emma in the pub, which did seem a bit out of character for Nic who normally wouldn't say boo to a goose. But perhaps there is more to be uncovered – what could she have done? Run Matt over?
I haven't watched Modus yet but am glad to hear the President is better. That Inger Johanne – what a woman!

Yes, I can't believe that, however bad she felt, Nic wouldn't have removed a seriously manky plaster! I assume she was supposed to be too delirious to get to the bathroom and clean the wound. (From the way she spoke to Will I thought she was having a stroke.)
I also can't believe that, other than as a spurious way of tying up a loose plot line, she would have run over Matt and not called for an ambulance. Totally out of character surely?

I don't know what to think (except that anyone with Joe leaning over them muttering about going to a better place would feel driven to give up the fight!). She's perhaps the least likely to be responsible for Matt's accident. Maybe it was her who stole the bunting (they never did prove it was Molly Button, IIRC...).
