I single-shotted through it. All it says is that her son Jamie "has a violent past" but the details aren't shown. What you can read is just a recap of the radio interview (withe the same paragraph repeated). It's claiming that Maggie has been trying to hide the information - but we're aware she didn't know anything about it.

Thanks for that. I thought it was just me.
So Roxanna’s attitude seems to be that everyone in the village gossips about her as a slag anyway, so Maggie broadcasting that to the wider world and ending up in the national press is not a problem. Really?
Still irritating me.

Yes, Roxanna did have a rather curious attitude didn't she! And the whole village is showing racism towards Emil because they are never nasty to him. But I think you have to put logic aside when watching this show, otherwise only her friend Jill's attitude makes any sense. And no doubt she will come round by the end.

Could anyone read what the "secret scandal" was? I couldn't make out any details. Lol! I was going to ask the same thing. And who streamed it to all their phones and the village hall screen? I don't think it was Jill because she did look genuinely confused when she lost the audience's attention.
I actually warmed towards Maggie for the first time last night especially when she was talking to Roxanna. I did laugh at Mrs Evans in the Post Office and her indignant "I'm Welsh!"

I guessed it was her early on in the episode.

So absolutely everyone has forgiven Maggie and, after about ten seconds of self examination, she is gossiping about some one else at the end. That really annoyed me! Otherwise I found it reasonably enjoyable although had anyone but Dawn French been playing Maggie I might not have been able to put up with her. I was also a bit disappointed that the ghastly Liam didn't end up in the slammer.

Well. That certainly ended with a bang. I don’t know what I expected, but it went off in a completely different direction. I liked the reveal of who got run over, which was certainly a surprise to me.
In the end, I still didn’t like Maggie, but I enjoyed the story overall. Though I don’t think Jill should’ve forgiven Maggie so easily.
I noticed at the beginning that the continuity announcement said it was the final episode in the “current series”. I wonder where that would go? I’m not at all sure these characters have enough mileage in them to take me through another series.

I still didn't like Maggie either, but on the whole it was enjoyable.

I thought the ending was a curious mixture of melodrama ( the goings on at the pub) and damp squib ( I would have liked to see Karen in more trouble for what she did). I missed the continuity announcer saying "the current series" but did think that there were enough lose ends left to suggest there might be another series. As has been said, it didn't take long for the awful Maggie to revert to type....and even while she was apologising it was all about her and not the people she had maligned. In spite of still disliking her intensely I would certainly watch another series.

I just watched all of this, over the last 3 days - I know, it was shown in April but I had it on our recording thingy for all this time and I was determined to find the time .....
Mixed feelings, as others have said, about some of the strange attitudes of those who were offended by Maggie and no way do I think that All Would Be Forgiven by everyone, so easily. It was addictive, though, wondering how things would turn out, and some of it had laugh out loud moments.
Also was touched by the very loyal and unwavering love that her husband had for her - a solid marriage. Great acting on the part of most of the participants. But a bit of a holey storyline.
I'm sure I read somewhere that once things are more normal, it's intended to make another series. Worth it for the laughs and the great scenery alone.
