Amber probably sold the watch she stole from the hanging man! Nasty piece of work.

To me this has been OK but seems to lack any kind of drama, or urgency. It is all rather mundane and flat. I know it is daytime telly so we don't get the blood and gore, but the coppers are quite stolid IMHO, especially the DC. I hope today sees Amber get her comeuppance.

I think it's mostly due to the writing. Two good actors doing the best they can with flat dialogue. And the characterisation isn't very subtle either. No depth to them.

Well talk about leave the best bit till last! I wanted more after that ending, lol. Several things have occurred to me whilst watching this. - I thought Carly was Amber's sister at first they looked so similar, - they had a high percentage of actors with grey eyes in this show which I spotted because of the numerous iris shots, as they did in the Keeping Faith series, - I really liked the shots of London which looked really clean..... and incredibly empty, - people were able to live in some lovely flats on just normal incomes, - none of the homes looked lived in.

Marion, snap! I also initially thought they were sisters due to their eyes. Incidentally, Amber did an awful lot of acting with her eyes, perfecting the wild, crazy look. All week I’ve been noticing how impressive London looks in this, without falling back on the usual Olde Worlde Quaint. Really sleek and modern and, yes, empty. Every time they went to a new location, I did my knockoff version of Amber’s rolling eyes and muttered “TV flat/house”. I guessed Amber would go over the balcony, and then wondered if David had killed his wife. One big plot hole for me - how did Amber manage to kill Tom and string him up? And why did white van man claim he did it?

Another plot for the next series maybe? I hope so as I was left wanting an explanation of that too.
Overall I have enjoyed this and hope we get to see series two as well.

Agreed, there’s no way she could have done that alone. Will look forward to the next series! My take - I thought white van man was her accomplice in this. He's a dealer who had supplied Amber with drugs to resell (she said that to someone, can't remember who), so they certainly knew each other and presumably it was her unregistered mobile he made/received many calls to/from around the time of the murder. His van was used to transport the body after Amber (I assume) had killed the victim in that lock-up - it had his blood in it. So presumably he helped Amber string the body up. I don't know why he wrote the note confessing to the murder but as he'd decided to commit suicide for some reason, and didn't expect to be alive when it was found, it wouldn't have mattered to him.

BBC One has picked up the UK rights to the show’s five-episode second series.
The BBC said that the show’s second series would air in a daytime slot in early 2020.

I think they are repeating series 1 next week so I shall have to watch it to remind myself what happened, now that we are getting series 2. Thanks for the heads up.
