I enjoyed it for what it was but I had to rewind the start twice to understand the timeline. And I haven't even had a drink tonight, lol. They put together a good cast though, didnt they?** And I agree about the suspects being kept in seclusion because of their mental health issues. Well sex addiction hardly warrants such kid glove treatment does it? At least they didnt constantly bang on about her coming from London tonight.
And how she expected anyone to crack that code beggars belief. Even though Dodds did, of course!
**Actually I don't know why they bothered because most of them had precious little to do! Hugh Dennis, Freddie Fox for instance were barely in it.

It’s Midsomer in Bath but with more convoluted plots! Loved Bath, loved the actors - would watch more of these just for the pure escapism. But as Bidie said, either a bit shorter, or a tighter plot

The plots are no more unbelievable than DiP. Would you be happier if there was a lizard on the wall?

On another subject, I’ve been having a “what else was she in” moment. The dodgy “family liaison cop” who was in on it all along - what else has she been in?

We enjoyed watching it after a long and tiring day. We like the interplay between the main characters and there were some good lines. Many plot holes though and departures from police practice; where are the scenes of crime forensic experts when you need them eh?
Would have liked to had seen a final scene between the two detectives and the rather obnoxious Chief.
We hope they commission more.

Yes, it’s silly, but I like the characters and the “what have I seen him in before?” I’ll watch more if they make it.

Casualty.
In both of them I did laugh out loud at one point. This week when the radiator soaked him. I too would watch another series.

I only saw last night's episode, but enjoyed it for what it was. You can see who's the brains in that partnership can't you. Dodds is very observant, liking puzzles, keeps the brain ticking over. Not relying on hand held computers. Loved the setting my late husband and I spent many a happy hour wandering around Bath. Would watch more if they made them.

I have really enjoyed this series (short as it was) and hope they do more.

I would watch Jason Watkins in anything Oh, that awful moment when MacDonald said 'No wonder your wife...' and wished she hadn't. Like kicking a kitten

Yes - you felt her cringe. She respects Dodds and would hate to hurt his feelings.
