I've just seen a trailer for a forthcoming drama series about Queen Victoria, starting from before she was crowned Queen. Didn't catch who the actress playing the young Victoria is but I recognised her.
Looks like it will be good!

Yes, she has also been in Emmerdale.
I have read it will be screened at the same time as the new series of Poldark

Jenna Coleman, who was known as Jenna-Louise Coleman for most of her time on Dr Who. I wasn't very impressed with her on that show, though it isn't really a test of acting skills. It will be interesting to her her in a straightforward dramatic role.

I don't watch Doctor Who but I remember Jenna Coleman in the remake of 'Room at the Top' with Maxine Peake & Matthew McNulty, before she joined DW. Actually I thought she was well cast in that.
It'll be interesting to see how it compares with the Emily Blunt film 'The Young Victoria' of a few years ago. I'll definitely be watching.

The first episode on Sunday 28th is from 9.00-10.35; the second one hour episode follows on BH Monday at 9.00. I assume it then reverts to Sunday.
I really didn't like her character in Doctor Who but hope this will be good. I enjoyed the Emily Blunt film Young Victoria.
