My Doro (designed for the elderly!) flip phone has finally gone kaput and won't charge.

All I need is a simple phone for making/receiving calls and texts. I don't need internet access.

My problem is that I am not sure about which one to get, as they all seem to be 3G or 4G these days, and I don't think my sim card will work or even fit the handset. A friend brought me an old handset that belonged to her son a while back, and my sim was too big for the slot.

I've had my number for 20 plus years, and don't want to change.

Anyone got any suggestions?

So I guess the answer is, no you don't have to. Just make sure it's got HDMI sockets on the back so you can attach stuff if you need to.

I also have a Google Chromecast plugged into mine so I can watch stuff from the computer on my TV. It's a lot easier to use than fannying about with remotes.
