My Doro (designed for the elderly!) flip phone has finally gone kaput and won't charge.
All I need is a simple phone for making/receiving calls and texts. I don't need internet access.
My problem is that I am not sure about which one to get, as they all seem to be 3G or 4G these days, and I don't think my sim card will work or even fit the handset. A friend brought me an old handset that belonged to her son a while back, and my sim was too big for the slot.
I've had my number for 20 plus years, and don't want to change.
Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks G-Man.
I have ordered one. Will let you know how I get on.
I may be 57, but I have an elderly person's brain when it comes to tech!

Hope it's OK. I shall run and hide if it isn't!

To save starting another thread, do you have any suggestions as to a basic Freeview TV? I'm looking on Amazon, but I really don't want a 'smart' one. Just a basic TV. I'm a basic kinda girl.

Set up a new account and it might tell you what your old one is!

If I get a TV with all bells and whistles (and ruddy Alexa, etc), I don't actually have to used them, do I?
It won't automatically link up with my WiFi will it?

I've got wifi on my TV but no idea how to set it up so never have. So I guess the answer is, no you don't have to. Just make sure it's got HDMI sockets on the back so you can attach stuff if you need to.

Like what? A DVD player, or something?

Yep. I also have a Google Chromecast plugged into mine so I can watch stuff from the computer on my TV. It's a lot easier to use than fannying about with remotes.
