Looking forward to seeing 'A United Kingdom' could be the film of the year: Thought it was very good, even with 'Rodney' in it - 7/10.....Politics, Romance...and stunning Locations [40's London looked good too].

Yup. He's in it, but I think it's a minor part.
Will try and see this: I like Rosamund Pike.

Passengers...one of the most boring films I have ever seen - even Jen couldn't save it, when she wakes up - Chris had wrecked it by then.
3/10

Sully - emotional wreck by the end....epic.8/10 The Edge of 17 - awful film, cannot believe the hype for it.2/10 I really enjoyed Sully as well. The scenes at the hearing where they were doing the reinactment and Sully was proved right were great. And the "Brace! Brace! Brace! Head down! Stay down!" started to make my heartbeat with fear, so scary.

Couple of films I've seen in the past week... Assassins Creed (last Sunday) - great action, poor acting and story.4/10 A Monster Calls (this afternoon) - Wow! Another one of those .....emotional wreck at the end, films for me - visually stunning, acting by all, amazing - Sigourney's accent just right - Young Lad, acting everyone off the set - Felicity, another gem of a performance and Liam never looked better. 9/10

I want to see Jackie, it comes out 20th Jan. It stars Natalie Portman and Peter Sarsgaard who were in Garden State together, Sarsgaard is usually pretty good.

La La Land - 0/10 About as far from a classic 50's musical as you can get - don't believe the hype, it's awful.

I havent seen it myself but have only read good reviews and it looks like getting a lot of Oscar nods. Everything!!! Forgettable tunes Poor dancing from leads Mia, Emma Stone, just didn't seem like a struggling actress Seb, Ryan Gosling, just didn't 'act' as if he had any passion for Jazz As for the ending; 15 mins of.....nothing really, a sort of 'Sliding Doors' moment, that shouldn't have been there - not a happy ending. -8/10
