I am trying to work my way through it; the idea of the story is one that interests me But, there are a few things that get in the way of its credibility. I do not believe that, from how he was pictured lying on the floor, that he could, in any way shape or form, have fallen down the stairs. Conversations and actions were a bit iffy (I won't go into too many details just in case people have not watched as much as I have), and the inquest seemed to be very badly run, and surprisingly soon after the death. I will stick with it to the end, because I want to know how Alice is found.

Mmm. It could be arcane, like the title of Killing Eve which took three series to get to the point.

I thought it was philosophical, as in she finds herself.

So, I got to the end, and feel that there is enough to warrant the question: "Will there be a Season 2?" {SPOILER:Click to Show}While Alice appears to mend most of her familial relationships, there’s a brewing feud with George, Harry’s secret son. In an audio recording that took place on the night of Harry’s death, George threatens to unearth Harry’s other mystery children, something that could prove troublesome for Alice going forward.
Not least because she believes that property developer Tanvi may have had a child using Harry’s frozen semen, tension could easily spark up here as Alice and Tanvi agree to work together in developing the plot of land that was under Harry’s name.
And finally, there is, of course, the rather sizable issue of Alice trying for a baby using what’s left of Harry’s sperm. While she’s proven to be a little haphazard so far, a pregnancy thrown into the mix could unsettle things for Alice once again in a potential series 2. I don't think I would watch, though.

Episode 2 was something of a struggle... still finding it hard to find any kind of comedy - I suspect some of the events were intended to be funny, but sadly I don't think they worked There are 4 more episodes... not sure I care enough to watch them

It’s all so very unrealistic.
Alice tells the police the cameras weren’t turned on and in the VERY NEXT LINE, her daughter says “here’s the tape - there’s a strange man on it.” The police don’t bat an eyelid.
I’d be more inclined to indulge the ridiculousness if Alice was more likeable. But she isn’t. At all.
I’m curious about what happens at the end, so I may just fast forward through episodes.

What is Nathan supposed to be? In episode 1 I thought initially that he was a pathologist then downgraded that to a mortuary attendant. Now I really don't know! And where exactly does he work? Is it a hospital mortuary or an undertakers? Since when did either such places run bereavement counselling groups? And I am pretty sure bereaved relatives can't just wandered in at will. Having thought this had good potential at the beginning I was very disappointed and slightly disturbed by episode 2. It is descending into the preposterous and doesn't seem to know whether it is comedy or drama. To be honest I don't think it is quite the right subject matter for comedy. Not sure I will keep watching as it touches a few raw nerves for me .... which is a great shame because it has such a terrific cast.

I certainly didn't think of it as a comedy. WHat kept me going was that I needed to know what the title meant. To be honest, very little.
Nathan is a mortuary worker who, according to all the bumf about the cast is supposed to be Alice's "death guru". So, there you are.

I have so far only seen the first episode. I prefer to record and watch later so as to skip the adverts, and take my hat off to those of you who have binged the whole lot on catch-up and can't escape the pesky things (yes, I do know they are what pays for the service. You won't find me complaining about the licence fee, though I did like the idea of including it in income tax rather than making it a separate fee).
Is Nathan the man in the first episode who showed Alice into the room where Harry's body lay? I agree it was not clear whether that was the mortuary, which it didn't look like at all, or a funeral parlour, where he would have been taken later. If he's also a bereavement counsellor, it is ridiculous.

I watched about 10 minutes but didn't like anyone in it That's the trouble, there isn't anyone likeable. It's fun seeing Joanna Lumley and Nigel Havers, but they're not in it much Preposterous plot as well
