I don’t think she did that in the book, did she? She came back and sort of stalked Cleo and Roy, but I didn’t think she went inside and stole a bracelet. Because to an ace detective like Roy, seeing flakes of freshly scattered fish food and then an empty bracelet box would be a huge red flag. He would just know what had happened, or could call in one of his Mediums. Also, I thought Gaia in the book was supposed to be a superstar, perhaps not Madonna or Beyoncé but the next best thing, rather than some up and coming singer from Brighton.

I read a lot of the books but gave up when the missing wife story got rather tedious.

In the previous episode, her son appeared so perhaps she is trying to prove that Roy Grace is the father. Yes indeed - she did have this to put his hair in...

I read a lot of the books but gave up when the missing wife story got rather tedious. I've read some of the books but although I like the actor playing Grace I don't think he suits the character.

I was going to ask if anyone recommended the books?

I do, I think they are great and have read nearly all of them except for those in the To Be Read stash.

New season of Grace starts tomorrow (Sunday) 8pm ITV/STV I have just finished reading Peter James’ most recent book which is called ‘They thought I was dead’, which is subtitled Sandy’s Story’ It is,as you might expect from the title, that it is the story of what happened to Grace’s wife.I won’t give away any secrets but I quite enjoyed it, even if in some places it seemed improbable but it is fiction after all! I’m now looking forward to seeing this new season of Grace to see if there any developments.

I love the Grace books but am a bit behind at the moment. Also, the books appear very close to each other in time, so after a year between publications he may only have moved the story on a month. This pregnancy could last for the next two series!

I enjoyed last nights. This was one of my favourite books and at least they didn’t alter it that much. I must say I don’t remember any big altercation between Sandy and Roy, I thought she was unconscious throughout. Also, she mentioned the paperwork and tests for Bruno, didn’t she? I thought there was no test done and hence the ambivalence of whether Roy is the biological father, or Cassian Pewe. Is paternity confirmed in the new Sandy book?

It’s been officially announced so not a spoiler, but apparently Craig P has left the show (his decision). Now Norman didn’t die in the books (well he hasn’t yet and I’m up to #17) so I wonder if he will be recast or if they will write him out and just keep Bella on as a character. I liked him as Norman but he was nowhere near as politically incorrect as the book version.
I must read #18 as it’s going to be touring as a play in the New Year so I’ll probably go to see it at Richmond if I’m free.
