He must find it very tough to adjust to. It wouldn’t surprise me if he has a project lined up which will occupy him very successfully without the strain of filming so many shows.
An article about the final quoted one of the Imperial team saying he hadn’t realised how long it took, so many stops and starts, repeats of various bits, general waiting around

True. And hopefully they will. But it definitely looked like it was a bit of struggle towards the end. Anyone know how many shows they do in one day?

I would think only two, if that?
How long is it since he was diagnosed? Hopefully they have found the right balance of medication now, but sadly it probably won’t stop all deterioration

Think it's JP's last season. Be sad to see him go.

After 27 or 28 years, doesn’t seem that long though

Hmm. I think last year's should have been his last. He was visibly struggling towards the end.

Have they stopped taking points off for buzzing in and then not knowing. I'm sure the man in the woolly jumper from Bristol did that.

Mr McLaughlin? The one who leapt out of his chair every time he pressed the buzzer?? Wow he was annoying! Good to have the programme back though

Mr McLaughlin? The one who leapt out of his chair every time he pressed the buzzer?? Wow he was annoying! Good to have the programme back though So I wasn't the only one he irritated then? I took a very early dislike I'm afraid. It was an excellent contest to open the new series with though with that neck and neck finish and I agree, it's so good to have it (and Only Connect) back. Did anyone else watch the UC 60th birthday programme that followed? It was interesting although it's sad that only a few tapes survive from Bamber's days as host. I would love to have seen more of him. I was astonished at how much JP has changed over the years .... but then, in 28 years we all have I suppose!

He interrupted then couldn't answer. Maybe I'm wrong but he was moving so much.

Absolute proof imo last night that the rule about answering immediately if you have buzzed has been abandoned.
