Loved this, I was riveted. Robbie Coltrane is excellent, as he was in Cracker. Everything is a little unexpected, eg the interviewing policewoman's behaviour, the style of the house (was expecting something like Cilla Black's sort of trapped in an Eighties' timewarp look, not so sleek and modern). Andrea Risborough was fascinating to watch, it was obvious she had problems (why were there all sheets stuck in the bin? - eek). Also the look of it is quite unusual and eerie, and music, plus the closing shot in the shower, with the water going up, was very striking.

It's very good .. but I get a bit tired with all the arty shots ... those spotlights in the garden must drive the neighbours mad ...and you would think that Paul, being in the middle of a high profile case, would close his curtains against press intrusion

Rather tedious I found it.

It is strangely sterile, isn't it, for such an emotive subject? I think it was a mistake to name-drop the real people into a fictitious setting, it didn't feel natural and my immediate thought was that they'd have had to be very careful with the script, which took my mind off the story. I also thought that the child abuse angle was overdone – that on its own would have been enough. The writer is chucking everything in including the kitchen sink.

This is not turning out like I thought it would. I am not enjoying it, it seems very scrappy. I had high hopes of this but it seems disjointed I shall watch to the end to see the final outcome (if we do find out the truth) Still can't keep up with Julie's accent.

I thought at first it was one of those lights which come on if someone intrudes, but it just stayed on illuminating the kitchen. Imagine trying to sleep in a bedroom facing that direction. You would need more than blackout lining for your curtains.

I was never sure of his guilt but he does come across as a somewhat unsavoury individual. I am being swayed towards guilt at the moment.

Yes, he's not coming across as husband of the year is he, lol, I've got my eye on his wife though. I suspect that he will ultimately turn out to be the decent person, more so than the wife or his partner (Carl?).
I do hope we get a proper ending, a proper conclusion, whatever it may be.

Watched about ten minutes of first ep, underwhelmed. Accidentally deleted ep two from the box so undecided whether to continue. Any recommendations?

I think his wife is going to crack. Especially now he's brought their daughter home without consulting her first.
The stuff set in the past is really interesting. It's making sense of the relationship in the present.

I thought in the last episode the Manager seemed the creepiest of the lot. He was the one touching up the waitress at the table. Marie didn't even say that's enough of that, thank you. I wondered if he had slept with her and said he was Paul. But as Paul was there I guess that wouldn't really work!

I doubt we will get a clear resolution.
I am non-plussed by this series and really don't care to be honest.
