Often the quarter/semi finals are MUCH better than the actual finals which can often be very one sided and over all too soon.

Wimbledon is my favourite two weeks. I end up watching this and not bothering with the stuff I usually do...Haven't watched Corrie for two weeks.

I record all my usual stuff and end up with a massive backlog!
I hope Nadal will be OK to play. A defaulted Kyrgios getting to the Final will be unbearable! I would also feel sorry for Taylor Fritz (Taylor Swift, yes!) who was very good yesterday. I’d never heard of him before this tournament but according to Andrew Castle he didn’t go to college and play in that US system but left school and turned pro straight away. He’s 24 and has parted from his wife with whom he has a five year old. The glamorous blonde woman in the box was his new girlfriend.

Like the Serena match, you would think Ons Jabeur is the only player on court!

Nadal seems to be struggling with his serve on the practice courts. Some orgasmic rallys in the Women's second S/F.

Nadal apparently has a 7cm tear somewhere in his abdomen I understand. So that could prove tricky.

His own health has to come first. But he will be missed from the tournament.

That just means I won’t watch the final, I don’t think I could cope with Kyrgios shouting all Sunday afternoon, also he’ll have an unfair advantage as he has no matches now till the final

Yeah.... If the final is Djokovic, I won't be watching. If it's Norrie, I might grit my teeth and try and bear it.

Some are questioning why Taylor Fritz cannot get a 'lucky loser' bye into a semi with Nick.
And others feel Nadal must have known it was unlikely he could play any further matches and should have retired and allowed his opponent to progress.
As it it, we are now down to just one semi final.

We would at least get another match if Taylor could play Nick. I often feel that semi final day is more interesting than the final

I too feel sorry for Taylor Fritz. He put on a good display against Rafa so it’s not as if he is someone who wouldn’t stand a chance against Kyrgios. I can understand Rafa wanting to win but this has done the tournament no favours imho. If it’s Kyrgios vs Djokovic I might do my click and collect trip to Waitrose on Sunday afternoon! I don’t think I’ve missed a final, or more than two finals, since I was ten! If not younger as it was compulsory viewing in our house.
