Agree that the semis can be better than the finals. Just hope Norrie is able to give a good account of himself against Novak, but I fear it will be a straight sets win for the champ.

I think it has been very sweet how many of the tennis stars onscreen have said how much they will miss Sue, such as Martina, Billie Jean, Chris Evert and McEnroe repeatedly! She must be very well liked as much as respected for in depth knowledge, something I fear may be sadly lacking in future unless they go for an actual tennis player. (I think Claire Balding is unusual in that she actually seems to do a lot of research for any sport she takes on.)

There will be a whole generation who regard Sue - and Gary Linnekar as well - as commentators, with no idea of their own past sporting successes. Sue has always been a very good commentator and she will be missed.

So Kyrgios is sitting there after losing the second set and he is just shouting his head off! I think at himself because he had lost three break points but honestly he is going crackers. I mean he’s not shouting at Djokovic or any officials, maybe towards his box, but it is very odd to put it mildly. I read in the ST today that his career total of fines is £482,000!

That’s the main reason I’m not watching, it’s like a toddler having a tantrum in the supermarket, the more attention given the worse it gets.

I’ll tell you a development I’m dreading. From next year they will be allowed to talk with their trainer at changeover (I think but definitely during the course of the match). I don’t know if that means the trainer will have a seat courtside or whether they will dash off for a couple of minutes!
Oh, there’s just been a protest somewhere. I wonder what that was about. Andrew Castle said they couldn’t see it.
