I think you're right there, Bidie, they seem to find themselves facing penalties rather often in big tournaments (I just caught that last goal) So England are really through to the semi-finals! Miracles do happen  |

I do not follow football particularly but all the hate in the press for Southgate strikes me as unfair. He has taken the England side further in tournaments than most of his predecessors....
Off to shout for The Netherlands on behalf of SIL.

The problem is, it's been really boring. Although that isn't just down to him. Most of the top teams are playing this boring style. I can't wait until it goes out of fashion.

Got to be the first time England have netted all their penalty shootout kicks. So they did practice and now they go on to play the Netherlands. Surely no excuse for either side not to play their first choice strip.

I was amazed that Germany went out and Turkey were still in...though no longer, of course. My hope is that England have been saving their best till last and will throw absolutely everything they have at the Netherlands!
