Two runners in the 1500m, so caught up in their dislike for each other and sure of their supremacy that they forgot there were 10 others in the race The look of astonishment on their faces when someone swept past them and won! Clash of the Egos, I think things like that are hilarious especially when prefaced by those BBC promos which imply there is no one else in the race! Good for the American I say, didn’t indulge in any of that crap and just seized his opportunity. The promo when Kerr was talking about being sick of bronze made me feel a bit sick actually. It’s like the pre boxing match stuff is coming into athletics. Well boxing can keep it as far as I’m concerned! |

Just watched the cycling final. Our chap came of his saddle and ended up riding on the bar! Ouch! They got silver though.
Miranda, was the heat where our chap fell over and had a pop at the French runner?

No, that was a different race. This one they decided to do a gentle jog round until the last lap. Then they all kicked together and there was so much pushing and shoving it was like Walmart on Black Friday!

Oh, the Omnium cycling event has gone from 6 races over 2 days to 4 races over 3 hours! I suppose that makes it more “instant”!

GOLD in some sport involving a kite and a person on a sort of surfboard/paddleboard. That is good because we seem to have hit a bit of a bump in our medal run. That was an odd one, wasn't it? I thought I was watching surfers being rescued...and heaven knows how the scoring works. But we won, so that's ok. Snoop is indeed some kind of ambassador. He was a torch bearer in Paris. I just love the way he turns up in appropriate outfits. Or at least his take on them. |
