Really annoyed with BBC coverage of men’s triathlon, started watching it on BBC1, a few minutes in it was announced if you wanted to watch it uninterrupted switch to BBC iPlayer, which I did, then just as the race was reaching it’s exciting climax , we had to change channels again!! This was one of the closest and most exiting finishes and yet we were expected to have to change channels and possibly miss this dramatic finish. I appreciate it must be difficult to coordinate all these events but come on BBC use your common sense !! It was on the red button not that the Beeb wanted anyone to know. |

They seem to have rebranded the RB as Olympics Extra. Unless I’ve misunderstood. Which I may have done since they just redirected there for the gymnastics and it is showing a triathlon interview. But this always happens at the Olympics doesn’t it?

Been dipping in and out of the sport. I watched the GB lad get silver in the BMX, but will admit I watched through my fingers. For me, the audience for the sport were dangerously near to the actual arena. If a bike flew off in the wrong direction it would be carnage.

Quite enjoyed the gymnastics but thought the Chinese guy who landed on his head in the floor was generously marked at the end which got him a medal. I wanted the Ukrainian to get bronze. Our chaps did well though.

Oh I didn’t know they had a Refugee category in the Olympics. There’s a boxer who lives here, and our boxing team wanted her, but she hasn’t got a UK passport yet so is fighting as a refugee. Who knew? And she won!
I wanted to watch EE tonight but the second Leon Marchand race has yet to start! I’ll have to catch it tomorrow. Another day at the Olympics! Thankfully there’s no diving tomorrow so I won’t be sucked in from the morning, 😂😂
Poor old Hashimoto did have a mare.
ETA Bravo Leon. He only won the 200m Butterfly about 2 hours ago!

My mistake it was BBC extra they told us to change to, took me ages to find it, and also to get back out of it! |

Bronze in the diving. I was totally immersed in this when we suddenly switched to rowing because we were going to win gold (we didn’t). When we came back, we had missed a whole round, and there are only 6! Personally I thought the Mexicans were robbed because as usual the Chinese were overmarked. A slight mistake in their second? dive but they got higher marks than for their first. Ridiculous.
GOLD and silver in the rowing, 👍
I know people are disappointed not to win, but I would be pretty pleased with an Olympic silver medal but British male rowers don’t seem to value them at all. I’ve noticed this for years.
