What I don’t understand is, how are they going to explain the laying of the cement floor! If they blame Dean and set him up with the, now global superstar, meat thermometer, how is he supposed to have got his hands on a ton of concrete and become an expert at laying it? And since when has “ we believe you are in possession of a meat thermometer” been good enough for an arrest warrant? Have the police even identified it as the weapon? This is really going downhill as a story for me. The six characters are ruined as decent women and the crime elements are hopeless. They should have drafted in an actual crime writer. I do hope Dean gets a better solicitor than Johnny who appeared to dob his client Sharon further in it. Obviously I have no time for Rapey Dean but am not keen on them making him the fall guy for their crime, which was only flipping self defence in the first place!
Also, suddenly thought, why would the police assume it was a meat thermometer wot dunnit. I have always thought of them as being a single pronged item whereas this was more of a fork. How common is this two pronged variety? I think we should be told. I want to see the pathologist TELLING Walford police to look for a two pronged MT. That is the only choice of weapon. Not a meat fork, but a thermometer. Rapey Dean should say he’s a vegetarian so has no need for such an item and it is clearly planted, 😂😂

I'm no expert on DNA and I haven't been paying full attention, but wasn't the thermometer thoroughly washed clean when found under Linda's bed?

I do remember Rapey Dean sneaking around upstairs in the Vic on the day of the murder. Other than sneakily watching Linda there was no reason for him to have featured because he got away without being seen, although Linda was spooked a bit but nothing else came from it. Are the scriptwriters going to tie in his DNA from that little escapade?

I was glad that the Best New Comer - Meat Thermometer - more than held her own against those old stagers Potato Masher and Large Ladle ( The Judi Dench and Helen Mirren of the utensil world) in the group scenes at Dean's flat. Dean's prints are now on it and presumably we are to believe that his ALONE will be found. But there are so many glaring plot holes in this framing story that it beggars belief. Meanwhile, lovely George gave evidence in a court whilst sitting down, where there was no police presence, no visible jury and a surprisingly number of leather bound books in the background... Also Gloria - who I think will get a coercive control story of her own in the coming months - managed to fall to the floor in the quietest court corridor in Britain. Not even a passing accused to raise the alarm...

Another significant appearance for the meat thermometer. Bravo. I thought Dean gave a very puzzled look when he found it. Indeed, I cannot see him as a meat thermometer kind of guy. I think a chance was missed, when Stacey was still there to see her plan crash and burn, for Dean to ask Jade if she had bought it, because he knew he hadn’t? No, well whoever’s is it? Well we won’t need it in Pakistan will we so let’s bin it now, 😂😂😂. Unless you would like it Stacey? No I insist, please take it, we never have roasts and I’m sure you do.
The meat thermometer could then move into the Slaters and continue the new career.
How often do collapsed women just lie in the floor in a court, unspotted by any staff or visitors?
That courtroom is a joke. I think they have just reused the magistrates’ set. And Eddie seems to wander about at will, and he’s up for murder! Yet Ben is off to a supermax for credit card fraud, 😂.
Why doesn’t Yolande join another church?

So...the police are arresting people on the say of just one witness?
More likely they would review the forensics and then call him in for questioning.

Well Linda was pretty strong in the police station scenes I thought but nevertheless, it does all seem a tad contrived! And that global superstar meat thermometer is presumably being tested but, if there is any blood won’t it be lamb’s blood? From the Easter roast. It could be the end of the utensil road though as it is now in an evidence bag.
I would much rather they had caught Rapey Dean for attempted murder of his own daughter than have him stitched up like this though.
Digispy are raving about how marvellous the actress who played Gloria was and what a shame she died. I really didn’t think she was all that special myself.

I thought Gloria would become a regular character and an example of a woman being controlled by a bullying husband all her life. But it was not to be.
Best Newcomer - Miss Meat Thermometer - will match the wounds on the corpse of Keanu - assuming he has not decomposed too much - but other than that I do not see how they hope to prove who wielded her. (Actually I am not convinced her prongs would be sharp enough to penetrate to the depth required to kill...But at least they would tell you if he was "cooked through"...)
And, as we have discussed, the fingerprints/DNA (Sharon, Stacey and Denise must shed hair extensions on a daily basis) of the 6 must be all over the rug and the masking tape.
Once again the writers have failed to come up with a believable plot. Even allowing for the p*ss poor defence lawyers who inhabit Soap courts, there is no way the evidence so far should result in an arrest let alone a conviction.
I mean, what is supposed to be Rapey Deans MOTIVE?
And are we to believe there is no CCTV anywhere in Albert Square? All those clubs and businesses? Homes that would cost 6 figures in the real world?

I think of the meat thermometer as male! Perhaps it is non binary.
I fully expect Rapey Dean to be convicted given the accuracy of this soap’s portrayals of the justice system. Look at how Max was done over for killing Lucy. That ticked me off as well!

I don't think we will see Best Newcomer, Meat Thermometer again until the court case. She (he?) will now be consigned to a production bag with a numbered label in a police evidence room.
Although being EE, she/he will probably be borrowed when someone down the station is cooking a roast...
I have never liked boxing and I like it even less when Lovely George is getting hit.

Well in one of the Line of Duty series, being in an evidence packet didn’t mean you had to stay there. So he might be liberated and live to act another day.
George isn’t very good in fight club is he? Wasn’t he the world heavyweight champion or something?
Very pleased to see Rapey Dean get done for some crimes he has actually committed. I am not convinced that his blood would be on the meat thermometer though. Surely after all those washes including in the pubs no doubt industrial strength dishwasher, plus being plunged into a roast lamb so all the juices and possibly blood from that would ooze out, there wouldn’t be anything left of Keanu. It just doesn’t stack up for me. And as for fingerprints, he could say I was emptying the flat for when I moved out, otherwise I would never have touched it and had never seen it before. I don’t like this framing malarkey.
According to digispy the actor who plays Bobby is leaving. I think he is quite good.

I suppose for the writers a 'framing' plot line can always be overturned at a future date...
