I enjoyed it too, but what a sloppy investigation it appeared to be originally! Didn't it occur to them to check the number the victim was calling from when she was shot? No wonder the commissioner was looking shifty.
So Humphrey has just gone, without coming back to say goodbye to Harry? I like the idea of the spare room that has only just been noticed! Though the 'new' bed didn't look too comfortable.
A good idea to change the relationships so that Jack has his daughter with him, and the possibility perhaps of romance with Catherine?

We thought he might end up with Catherine, they're more of an age.

I still think of him as Father Dougal with a Warrant Card.

I fear that one stretched credulity to the limit. The window of opportunity was ridiculously brief, and it depended on the victim making no noise until the murderer was safely out the way.

I also thought that. And I wasn't happy because the reveal of the killer meant the three cute orphans wouldn't be adopted. It messed with my cozy DIP glow.

Yes, I had deduced who it had to be, but could not imagine she would be that nimble and adept a killer to do that in a few seconds. Good Harry time again, yay!!!!!! They must have saved the special effects budget for when he could act with Ardal.
As regards the daughter, I am surprised she is moving too. Isn't she supposed to be at university? Surely she is not still at school, cos she looks early twenties to me.

Ardal O'Hanlon's playing of DI Jack Mooney as a sort of Columbo/Father Dougal works well, though the outcome of the last episode was rather dark. Looking forward to the next series.
