Anyone else remember Kris Marshall in Murder City in the early 2000s? He had a really quirky, almost alien!, character in that, with some Dr Who parallels. I'd like to see him get The Doctor role, he's good enough to deserve the international profile.
Ardal's a great choice to take over here. I did detect a touch of Dougal in his performance last night - a good trait for mis-directing suspects as to his abilities.

Perhaps he already has the Dr role!

Perhaps he already has the Dr role! I doubt if they've even started looking, yet.

Ardal did have a touch of Columbo and Father Dougal. Tad wide eyed. He will be a good replacement. If Martha chooses not to go back maybe the daughter might go to join the team, the egg and the torch were a nice touch. I will miss KM, have fallen in love with him and Danny John-Jules. Will be interesting to hear his father's story about why he left.

I watched this last night for the first time this series. I wasn't impressed with Kris Marshall's acting.

I'm afraid I closed my eyes during this episode (after a hard day at work of course!) and next thing I knew it was maybe 15 or 20 minutes later and they were all in London interviewing these men in suits. Think I missed something somewhere, so watched the rest in a state of slight confusion. Who are the men in suits and why are they connected with the women in St Honore? Having said that I loved Ardal O'Hanlon and think he will be great in the part!

The men in suits are not connected to the women. They (the MIS) are city investment types who all have the same company cufflinks - one of which was found at the crime scene. They all denied knowing the victim, but so far we know at least one of them did.

Just watched this. A much better story than in recent weeks, I thought, in that there is actually a plot and a mystery to solve. The episode was written by Robert Thorogood who created the series, perhaps that's why.

Hmmmm, now, given bank security these days, how did the boy's mother get in to enable her to masquerade as a cleaner without leaving a record of her entry? Surely the team would have checked a visitor list?

My niggle was that the killer would've left fingerprints all over the yacht.
Also, when did digital cameras come into use? I thought they said the memory chip came from the 90s (but maybe I misheard).

I think they said he uploaded the old family photos onto it. Could be wrong though.

I must admit I like Ardol O'Hanlon joining the team. This week he solves a baffling double murder when he finally realises that one body is very small, but the other is far way.

So did I. I love the simplicity of the programme, plus the wonderful summing up of what happened รก la Agatha Christie. Suits my mind-set!
