Yes, good news about the third series. This must have been a fairly easy decision for ITV, with audiences of over 6m, and many (including me) finding the second series even better than the first.

Yes, thumbs up from me too. Sadly it probably means a further series of Last Tango is further on the back burner than it already was, unless Nicola Walker has been booked for that first.
I've been watching old episodes of Spooks, and the end of series 3 which sees the departure of Danny (David Oyelowo) had Badria Timimi in the cast as a villain with redeeming qualities. That episode is now 13 years old but she looks exactly the same today. How does she do it?

Apparently the 'Last Tango' series 4 DVD release, originally scheduled for last month, is now showing as 14th. Nov. 2017 - which implies it won't be on TV until mid-October.

That's interesting – so it has probably already been filmed or is being filmed at the moment. Good!

This is good news as, the last I heard (at the time of the Christmas Special), Sally Wainwright wasn't sure she could find time to write another Last Tango series. That must have been an untrue rumour....or she is a remarkably fast writer!

I'm not sure it is good news. On inspection, that date refers to the DVD release in the US: www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Tango-Halifax-Season-4/23006- could be earlier in the UK. Anne Reid said last year the 2 Christmas 2016 "specials" were really meant to be the first 2 episodes of series 4, but she didn't know when any more would get written, and I can't find any evidence that Sally Wainright has written any more yet.

The third series of Unforgotten will premiere on ITV on Sunday July 15th at 9pm.
In series three, Alex Jennings (The Crown) Kevin R McNally (Designated Survivor), Neil Morrissey (Line Of Duty) and James Fleet (Indian Summers) play a close-knit group of old school friends that have stood by one another through thick and thin. However, when the body of a teenage girl who went missing at the turn of the millenium is found at a building site off the M1 motorway, the four men are placed under the spotlight and their relationships are tested to the limit.

Quick reminder- Unforgotten starts tomorrow(Sunday) 9pm! Too many good things on at 9pm on Sunday and a dearth during the rest of the week. Thankfully I have a recording device.

Recorder set for this so I can watch the final episode of Poldark tonight. I hope the new Unforgotten series lives up to the previous two which were very good.

I shall have to ask MrC to put this onto series-record for me since my own Tivo box has gone up the swanney because I'll be watching The Handmaid's Tale. But this does sound good enough not to miss!

Thankfully there is a late night repeat of this on, I think, Thursday, as the timing clashes with Poldark, The Handmaids Tale and on +1, that documentary series about the NY Times. And then some nights........
