I've just caught up with the third episode of this series. They occasionally slip in a more quirky one now and then and this was one. Entertaining in its own way but I hope it doesnt turn out to be the last Endeavour. It should end on a better transition to point towards the John Thaw years.
Though I don't think it was accidental that Endeavour's last line of the episode as he stood with Thursday on the steps of the hotel was "It's beginning to thaw." !!

I think it lost its way in the last series. I shall watch it to see how it ends but I haven't got high hopes for it.

I will certainly watch, probably through my fingers as the huge breakup which presumably will occur between Morse and Thursday plays out. I hope the last episode of the previous series was a break from form which won't recur - interesting and quirky but not credible. The final series is set in the 70s, which I do remember, and my father was in the police at that time though not discussing his work with me!

Poor old Morse, he's having his heart broken and can't show it.
That was a very significant look Thursday gave him at the end. I wonder what the nature is of the history that he and Mickey Flood clearly had. We already know from previous series that he got his hands dirty in London.
And when is Bright going to have his hair cut? Last series I assumed Anton Lesser was filming something else at the same time but it really does look out of place!
