Couple of former Holby regulars on show in this episode.

I'm another who fell asleep. I "just rested my eyes" as an advert break began and then found we were halfway through the next segment. I don't think I missed much though because I was still able to follow the story. I quite enjoyed it.

I enjoyed it too. Anton Lesser has long hair in Better on BBC1… maybe he was growing it for that when they filmed Endeavour! 😂😂
Was there ever any reference to Mrs Strange when he was Morse’s boss?
I loved the Laurel and Hardy reference. The best ever joke for me in Morse was when he told Strange he had been on holiday to Bayreuth. Strange’s reaction was along the lines of well, it’s no wonder you’re stressed if you go somewhere like Beirut for your holiday, 😂😂.

Yes I noticed that, Drs Digby and Valentine! Took me a while to recognise Dr Digby without his glasses. Twenty minutes in before the penny dropped.

And Dr Valentine was easily missed under all that hair!

I'm halfway through it and starting to yawn.

What did Young Thursday do to end up in the glasshouse? I know he went AWOL but why? Ah, the scene in the pub has explained it. I'm guessing he was in Norn?

Well, it had it's moments but I found it pretty dull, TBH. It could have been half the length and told the same story. Too slow for me. I'm not expecting car chases and gun fights but that did drag a fair bit. The early ones were slow-paced but were still interesting. I'll probably watch the whole series just to see how it ends but won't be waiting for it to come on like I used to.

I found last night's episode very slow and boring I'm afraid. I will watch the last one next week because I want to know what becomes of the Thursday family, not only dear old Fred but Joan and Sam too. References again last night to bent coppers makes me fear the worst for what the script writers have in store for Fred.

I’m enjoying it but I’m not sure I remember the details of the Blenheim Vale story (which must have been in a previous series 2 years ago?) So I’m piecing it together as I go along.

I can’t remember it all either! I can barely remember last week’s open issues let alone the Blenheim Vale story. Who was that chap who knocked at Morse’s door at the end? I didn’t get a good look at him. He was dark haired and good looking and the only chap I can remember like that was the one whose wife/girlfriend was sleeping with Morse.
Google tells me he was the DS who left the show.
