Reuben will take to that apprenticeship like a duck to water. Looks like the farm they have bought needs quite a lot of work...but I think they will be up for it.

Yes, he's always been more interested in machinery than anything else. Feel sorry for his younger brother, who'll be like a lost sheep now he won't be around much.

I enjoyed Tuesday's episode showing the Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team being put through their paces with the children. It reminded me a little of Hunted, wondering whether the camera-people/person with some of the groups would be a dead giveaway as to their whereabouts if they weren't hiding properly, too. Edith and Violet were so unlucky getting caught right before the two-hour time limit came into play, especially as it looked like the rescuers had missed them initially.

Enjoyed the Christmas episode yesterday.
A couple of things I found really funny. The first was the question during the nativity play the kids put on - "What's the baby's name?" Answer - "Bob."! Shades of Monty Python's Life of Brian.
The other was one of the suggestions for a suitable present for Tony the overweight pony - a treadmill. I had visions of it trotting along, perhaps with a carrot dangled in front of its nose, and getting nowhere.
There's another episode to come, but it's not on next week due to the 3-part Anne Boleyn showing on consecutive nights - presumably it will air the following week.

I noticed that they said Anne Boleyn is in the slot usually occupied by Our Yorkshire Farm next week and wondered if the final episode had been moved to Bank Holiday Monday instead but it hasn't. I laughed at the baby being named Bob too and also at Clemmie thinking Tony the Pony's Christmas present was a wheelchair!

I just read that he has two other adult children from his first marriage, do they ever get mentioned? Or visit?

I'm currently reading the first of Amanda's books, Beverley, and a son gets mentioned (Robert, maybe?). Apparently, he runs another farm that the Owens have connections with. Presumably, he didn't want to get involved in any of the filming.
I've noticed that Annas has been getting a little more camera attention this series - she's always seemed overshadowed by all of her siblings in the past, and I wondered whether she was camera shy.

I can't find it in the new Radio Times on Ch 5 at all next week? Instead they are showing new series on every night at 9pm. Why do schedulers do this?

Yes, dammit, they've put it off again, this time for a 2-parter about the Wests.

Very frustrating, I agree.

More bad news - it's now been pushed out till "later this year or in the next series".

A new series of Our Yorkshire Farm starts on Tuesday 5th October at 9pm on Channel 5. Presumably they'll include the episode that got missed last time.

Hopefully so, Netz. Can't believe it's series 5.

Yes, looks like it. The first episode description matches the "next time" summary broadcast at the end of the previous run.

Lovely to be back at Ravenseat Farm albeit with a warning - given twice- that is a new one to me : " with dangerous imitative behaviour" !!!! I could only think they meant the Owen children playing in the snow. 🤔
