Lovely to be back at Ravenseat Farm albeit with a warning - given twice- that is a new one to me : " with dangerous imitative behaviour" !!!! I could only think they meant the Owen children playing in the snow. 🤔 Yes, I wondered about that! - and so did a lot of people according to the press.
I think, now, it was most likely referring to skating on the frozen-over tarn, with the danger of falling through the ice.

A follow-up series focussing on Reuben and Clive's digging business starts next Tuesday (6th December) at 9pm on Channel 5 (called 'Beyond Our Yorkshire Farm', I believe). It'll be interesting to see if there's any mention of Amanda or any appearances by any of the other children.

Well, she did seem to say that a new series is coming up that is different than before when she was last on TV. Perhaps this is it.

Only just found out that there will be no more 'Our Yorkshire Farm' because Amanda and Clive have split up. It's old news so no doubt everyone else knew!
Meanwhile the spin-off series 'Beyond the Yorkshire Farm' seems to have stalled after 2 (out of what RT says are 3) episodes, though ep 2 did end with a message that it will return in 2023.

I watched the first episode of the spin-off, but found it a bit dull if I'm honest, so didn't watch the second one.

I watched the first episode of the spin-off, but found it a bit dull if I'm honest, so didn't watch the second one. It was *very* dull I thought. Clive and Reuben might be enthralled by large machines but there are only so many times I want to watch the tracks coming off a digger and being put back on again!

I watched the spin-off, which had nothing to do with farming really, mainly because we'd watched Reuben growing up in OYF and seen his developing interest in machinery.
Now we have the other follow-up programme, Amanda Owen's Farming Lives, starting tomorrow at 9.00 pm on More4. Amanda travels to various farms around the UK. I'll watch out of curiosity, but I have watched 5 series of This Farming Life on BBC2 and wonder whether it will add anything to those.

I watched an early episode of this and found it charming, quirky, lovely family getting on with their lives that suited them perfectly. Very sorry to read that the central couple have separated and hope it isn't to do with their new-found fame that will inevitably have impacted on their lives. I'd also have thought that one series was enough, there is only so much observation that can be done before the programme makers will want to introduce more to keep the interest levels up. Every series I can think of, fictional or reality, has reached saturation point and I do wish they would recognise when is enough, particularly when it affects real people.
