Is it new programs or a re-run? But never mind, lovely little series. And they do an amazing job.

It appears to be a new series. In the first episode, the team 'turn their attentions to a tatty, wheeled elephant, a Georgian desk and a Boulle-work clock'.
The narrator this time is Robert Pugh (popular Welsh actor in case you don't know him). Last time I believe it was Bill Paterson.

Half-way through ,and love this programme every evening.
Just wish l was clever and patient enough to have those skills.
One question, who pays for the repairs l wonder, if anybody?

Found this entirely by accident when it was half-way through the programme last night and was immediately hooked. So sorry I've missed a series and a half through ignorance!

It's an utterly charming series. The intricacy of the work involved in the repairs is self evident and every single time they make a stunning job of whatever they tackle.
I must admit, Geoffers, I have wondered about the cost too!

Yes, me too, do the people pay for the repairs, I imagine they do and I wonder if the website has a list of experts etc. I have an old painting, quite small, probably 1820s or something, it is not fantastic in terms of the actual painting and may have been by an amateur but I would love to have it restored because some of it is actually very good (the cliffs, not the people lol!). I have never thought I could afford it or whether it would be easy to find someone to sympathetically restore it. It would be great if they could produce a guide or something.
