Did anyone else see this on Monday? It was filmed at The Weald & Downland Museum, which is a fascinating place in itself but this was about a group of people restoring things of some value in themselves (not hugely) but precious to their owners. Various craftsmen & women have workshops set up in a very ancient barn and are working on things brought to them. Sadly this enterprise was set up purely for the series but I would have thought it was a very viable scheme if someone did actually do it, considering how much interest is shown in all the antique & collectables programmes we see on TV. I will watch and hope to see some porcelain restoration, something I did myself in years gone by.

I saw it last night and the woman with the clock brought a tear to my eye. The guy who's restored it seemed a bit emotional as well.😢

I watched this this evening. I found it completely fascinating and am sorry to hear that it was only set for the purposes of the BBC show. I'm sure a pretty lucrative business could be set up doing these sorts of repairs and restorations.

The BGM is awful.

Lucky you.
I was a bit disappointed with it, TBH. I was expecting more craft and less emotional manipulation. Not sure I'll bother with the rest.

Yes, I suppose they could have shown a little more of the repair process.

Strangely I didn't notice any BGM either, which is odd because normally it is a real irritation to me. I can only suppose that when the subject is sufficiently interesting to me the music passes un-noticed. I still think a co-operative collection of restorers in one place would be a very practical and economic way of setting up a business.

Really annoyed I missed some of these programmes, I've loved the couple I've seen so far. Love the way they all help each other and the transformations are brilliant!

Help please. Anyone watch tonight's programme about the elderly couple who wanted a painting repaired? We would love to know what and where the house is the old couple returned to.Tried to listen again on iplayer but still can't make out what the Scottish narrator is saying apart from Tring.

Sadly though I've looked for a photo or information about this house there seems to be none.
