I'd like to know what the history is between the two detectives, because there is something there

I thnk it would have been a lot better without all the sub-plots. There didn't seem to be much point to most of them. Creepy doctor would still be creepy without the pregnancy story and Ex-Crim would still be suspicious without the Pyscho Mate story. Totally agree. Then it could have been at least 2 episodes shorter.

Or they could have put more depth into the main plot. Which would have avoided a lot of the plot holes.

Is there going to be another series, after all the killer disappeared at the end and its not confirmed that he is dead. I still feel that Evie is a bit of a twit, ok she might be a typical teenager but she was irritatingly silly at times

All a bit daft really, wasn't it? Would like to know a bit more with another series though.

At the end I was waiting for that lady's body to float up. I enjoyed the series and would happily watch another.

Well I didn't guess the twist about the brothers so overall I would say it was OK, just nothing that special. Passed the time though! And I did watch it through rather than abandoning ship.

That ending was ridiculous. One of the most ridiculous ending to a crime drama I've ever seen. I'm really really disappointed with that.

The twist re the brothers was interesting, though pretty unbelievable - as were quite a few other things about the programme. That was the hallmark of the series for me - some good ideas, but thrown in without it seems being thought through properly, making for much that was unfeasible.
Having said that, I found it entertaining and did look forward to it each week. As for a second series - hmmm. I'd probably watch, but needs some changes in the writing department I think.

Yes it ended up being a bit Midsomer-in-Loch-Ness. I did enjoy the series, stunning scenery, remembered Gray O'Brian from Peak Practice, and always rather fancied him, but in the end let down by a rather unbelievable ending.
