I like her. She has a slight edge but she talks sense.

The young Scouse has had a very bad day. She's not had one good bake and sliced her finger open. It's definitely between her and Yann.
And they prove me wrong! I would have said Kate but then .... I can't taste the food so...

I liked her on great British menu critiqeing the pro chefs but it's almost like this is beneath her and she's overqualified somehow ? Just my impression !

Since the conditions in the tent, temp wise, were horrific, why did they not postpone filming until the evening?

Cos as Paul says, cannoli are made in Sicily where it's always hot.

But in Sicily the bakers probably get up really early and do the baking before it is hot. Most of the bakeries I have seen in Italy and Spain are well shaded and tiled. Not many of them would be baking mid-afternoon in a tent.

I like her. She has a slight edge but she talks sense. I like the slight edge she has.....and she is never unkind, just truthful in a nice way. I have to say I absolutely adore those red, green and blue glasses and am seriously thinking about getting something similar. If you have to wear glasses all the time you might as well make a bold statement with them! There seemed to be a huge gulf between the two lots of three this week. I couldn't decide which of Kate, Yann or Tracey would be the one to go. Kate and Tracey were very lucky to survive I think.

I'm hoping it was misleading editing this week, but there were too many shots of Yann handling her pastry and then running her fingers across her sweaty face and hair. Sly little Paul joke in Sandy and Noel's intro skit about pizza tossing.

I've discovered a possible local source of cannoli (in Banbury). Still on hospital bed rest, so sending my dad to investigate tomor ...

Get well soon Beth - meantime such treats should be available on the NHS.
Pretty sure the editing was done to stress how hot the contestants were. As said, I think they should have postponed filming until early evening - it would not have effected the programme.
Jo Brand is still on the look out for a decent Unicorn cake on extra slice - but a sublime Flamingo was shown this week.

Yes Yan kept raking her fingers through her hair. I was shouting at the tv. At least her chin has healed up. I thought AES was strangely flat last night.Nick was like a spare groom at a wedding. Does he have a sense of humour? Faye was too enthusiastic, and Alan was funny, but not hilarious. Even the photos of home bakes seemed lacking, and the tastings were lacklustre.

Holy moly! Last thing you need is your oven door falling off.

I've been worried about those oven doors all series. I thought we'd see one fall off eventually!
