Have I dreamt this but I seem to remember way back at the start of Bake Off all those years ago that the sides of the tent were tied up letting in much needed air. I may have just made that up.

That sounds familiar. To expect people to bake in record breaking UK temps when steps could be taken to cool the tent down seems un-necessary, imo.

They even pitched the tent in different locations, each week. But why a tent in the first place, can’t be just for the wildlife.

I think they are still using a tent cos that's what viewers expect. The original series moved from place to place so obviously a tent was easier.

I haven't watched any of this but I feel a bit sorry for the chap who won. He seems to be getting a lot of negative stuff written about how he shouldn't have won.

Tall Poppy Syndrome sooty - people cannot believe he is as modest, shy and awkward as he comes across. Build someone up then kick them down.
And we must all remember that only Prue and Paul are actually TASTING the items. They know what is good, brilliant or disappointing.

The Great British Bake Off is staying put on Channel 4. Channel 4 have signed a new agreement which will see the series remain on air through its twelfth series in 2021. The tenth series is expected to launch on Channel 4 this summer.
Alongside the renewal of the main series, under this new deal Channel 4 has commissioned Junior Bake Off, a kids focussed spin-off that aired on CBBC when the franchise lived at the Beeb. A fifteen episode series has been commissioned for later this year, with a further two to follow in 2020 and 2021.

Oh, I'm glad they are doing Junior Bake Off. I enjoyed watching that. Hopefully it will be the same two guys.
