I agree Bidie, they’re such a giveaway.

It's nice to think a broadcaster is perhaps listening to viewers and not trailing 'spoilers'.
Interested to learn some of the filming locations. That sea side café looked fabulous.

That’s in Hayling Island. It was filmed in 2016 and has already been shown in New Zealand and people have complained that the murderer has been revealed online.

I too wondered about Gemma, but that is because I now suspect any and every peripheral character having dismissed David, Rob and Alice. I did wonder if the DI had been a bit precipitate in notifying David though so it certainly keeps me guessing.
My current pet theory is that the brother stumbled upon her when she was drunk after leaving the station and they got into a row. Possibly one propositioned the other and it went downhill from there! But probably not! What about Tom's wife? Do we know where she was? perhaps she was trailing the husband and found the mistress!

I still have my suspicions about Rob. It seems to me the tarpaulin, ropes and the butterfly knot all point to a connection with the boatyard, which is where he works. It's also where David's brother worked I think, before now being laid off, but I don't know about him. He was still living in Bolton (David told his solicitor that his brother didn't move down from Bolton until after Tara's death) and I don't think there have been any suggestions he was visiting the south coast at the time. Rob's excuse for driving like a maniac, that he was trying to get to a chemist before it closed, sounded very lame. Alice it now seems was unconscious the whole night and has no idea what Rob was doing, and was uncertain as to whether he was even there the next morning.
I suppose an accident is a possibility. She might have had a drunken mishap. The cause of death was a single blow to the head, the nature of the wound suggesting a hammer, but police never found a murder weapon. Could have been a piece of equipment, or the result of a fall. But DI Hudson said the disposal of the body "... was a meticulous job. And whoever did it, was cold, calm and collected", which doesn't sound like someone panicking after an accident.

A blow to the head is often a plot device for what was really an accidental death. That is what made me consider the children. Did they learn of Mummy's affair and try to stop her leaving? Did a grown up then dispose of the body to spare them the resulting inquiry?
Still lots to be revealed I suspect, but the brother is definitely involved somewhere....

I was so pleased that he took the children back, it seemed very cruel to move them away.
