Yes, that was a nice touch.

Give yourself a medal!
A good series with a satisfying ending. There's unlikely to be a sequel as it was conceived as a one-off, but a second series with a new cast is a possibility.

Joined this series for part 2 and it is excellent stuff. Looking for a twist, I am considering the brother of the original accused Well, who saw THAT coming. Oh - I did! Great series, the reunion ending was touching and all the actors were believable in their roles. The confession from the brother who had been jealous all his life of his better looking, smarter, richer siblings was heartbreaking. I hope David and detective Cathy get together. They seem to suit each other.

Were we ever told how Tara and David had so much money?

Not that I remember. I think David had a successful business of some sort, because during his confession Phil referred to his business being in trouble.

I'm just astonished and pleased that there was an ending! No ambiguity, no set-up for a second series, but a clear who did it and what happened next. More like this please.

I've just started binge-watching and I'm on ep 2. Is it just me or does the best friend look a lot like Russel Crowe around the eyes and mouth?
One thing I'm confused on is how the new police officer is reinvestigating the case when she's living with the original police officer. Is that not a massive conflict of interest?

I don't think they were together when the original investigating officer was on the case, and I also think they were separated by the time she started re-investigating it. I think. I could be wrong, but that how I saw it.

No they weren't, they were planning to buy a house together. I agree with Miranda and did wonder about a conflict of interest at the time. After all, they worked in the same station so there was no way either their colleagues or their senior officer wouldn't have known about their relationship. In fact, would they have been allowed to work together? I married someone senior to me at work and he was moved to another office in case it set up a conflict of interest....although we weren't police officers!

I knew it was the brother! From the third episode. It occured to me that there was no real reason for him to be in it otherwise.
I think I read too much Agatha Christie.....

I thought at first that he was in a different police station but still, coppers are such gossips there's no way no-one would know.

I pity you - I knew from episode 2. Like Agatha Christie - look for the person who COULDN'T have done it, and work out how they did..... What other programmes has the female detective been in? She was excellent in this and very familiar....?

She looked familiar to me too.

I stand corrected about their relationship, but I can tell you that Angel Coulby was Guinevere in Merlin, and is currently the wife of the British copper in The Tunnel
